Though the travel time was tight from Milwaukee, I guess a day game is better than a night game at these temperatures.

We aren’t getting all of the snow storms this year that we had last year.

I still think Goldy should be moved to 3 and Wong inserted at 2. But whatever.

I woke up to a healthy coating of snow this morning in NW Pennsylvania. It’s still only 31, but looks nicer down in Pgh.

Waino with back to back walks to start his season. Sigh.

37 innings of play and 49 strike outs from our lineup. And Waino comes in and currently has 21 pitches and 14 have been out of the strike zone. Good job Moz putting this debacle together.

This is sad to watch. There’s always a chance that Waino could finish off the season, but he probably should have ridden off into the sunset at the end of last year.

Waino has movement to spare, just not locating it or anything else…the anything else is problematic as they can sit on the breaking pitches to come over the plate

I wonder if we do end up moving him to the pen whether would be useful if he can recover fast enough between appearances

It has been a while since he pitched so i expected some rust (just like the other starters), i was just hoping he’d be a bit more locked in

still it’s the 1st and it’s only 3 runs…if anyone can buckle down and find a way to get to the 5th without it getting too much worse it is Waino

but whether he gives up 1 or 3 or 5 it won’t matter if we don’t stop striking out so much and depending on the long ball

Only one other team in the NL is averaging over 10 strike outs a game as a lineup. Now at 50 strike outs for the season and we aren’t 1/3 of a way through game 5.

I guess the way to get the borderline strikes is to act out and show up the umpire here.

there was not really enough evidence there to over turn the call at 2nd from any angle they showed on TV

That’s a very generous way to put it. He looked pretty safe to me.

Dang people want to complain about bat flips and watching HR’s but this clown on the mound is as bad as anything hitters do the way he is acting somebody needs to put one between his numbers.

DeJong in the 3rd spot is killing me.

Cards load the bases with no outs. Goldy draws a bases loaded walk to make it 3-4. Then DeJong doesn’t get the ball deep enough to score O’Neal from 3rd, Ozuna K’s and Yadi gets caught with a check swing.

    Baseball.

bases loaded…1 walk in RBI and nothing else….ugh…

we should have the lead and could have gotten it without a hit

That was pretty sad ab’s from the 3-4-5 hitter there.
