July 19, 2026 at 6:43 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313555
Just checked the score and am in a state of both disbelief and shock. Love our team and generally the direction it’s heading………but I’m officially calling it a wrap…….we’re stone cold sellers.
July 19, 2026 at 5:03 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313541Since a few Diamondback pitchers have hit the showers, I now feel compelled to lather up too with this humongous advantage…….only their showers were forced, while mine will be by my own free will. Let’s keep the shutout intact gang!
July 19, 2026 at 4:57 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313540Geesh Walker is big in stature…..and now in baseball efficiency too. This walk to him here in the 6th can be Exhibit A as to his transformation from a year ago.
July 19, 2026 at 4:53 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313539Kepler robs Herrera of hit on a dandy sprawled out catch in left to open the 6th.
July 19, 2026 at 4:50 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313538Move over Tinkers to Evers to Chance, as here comes Winn to Wetherholt to Burly…….very very smooth twin killing here in the bottom of the 5th to discourage any Diamondbacks thinking of scoring.
July 19, 2026 at 4:42 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313537Philip Abner……not related in any fashion whatsoever to Mr. Doubleday, is the new Diamondbacks pitcher.
“Blazing Saddles” Jordan rips a base hit to right that will send Burly safely home……and here comes The Ferminator prancing home too with the 7th Cardinal run.
July 19, 2026 at 4:38 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313536Velasquez on looks alone should whack 50 dingers a year. But unfortunately for him looks don’t count……and this time he goes down looking to commence the Redbird 5th. Burly lines a base hit to center….his 3rd hit on the day…..let’s stay with the action shall we? Jameson still on the hill for AZ.
Winn lofts an extremely lazy can of corn to short left for the second out here in the 5th.
The Ferminator with the count full doesn’t bite on a low one…come on Noot.
Noot …….walks and now the bases are totally crammed with Cards and Jameson is getting yanked. We await the new hurler.
July 19, 2026 at 4:28 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313535Looks like Booyah has a major league din-din on tap this evening.
July 19, 2026 at 4:27 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313534Pallante works around a 2 out Corbin Carroll double to once again keep Arizona off the scoreboard. We head to the 5th
July 19, 2026 at 4:10 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313532Looks like Cardinal in France may be burning the midnight oil in the south of France this evening. What time is it there, CIF?
July 19, 2026 at 4:07 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313530A win here elevates Pallante’s win total to 11, which if my calculations are correct, puts him smack dab at accruing 19 wins on the season.
July 19, 2026 at 4:04 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313529Drey Jameson the new Diamondbacks hurler. Hopefully we can treat this fellow just as rudely as we did to their starter. Nootster stepping to the plate for the second time this inning…..wouldn’t that be something to see him 3 times this inning. Noot whacked it right on the button, but unfortunately right in the vicinity of their left fielder.
July 19, 2026 at 3:59 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313528“The Ferminator” spanks a base hit to right that will send the Arizona Ace to the showers after 68 pitches.
July 19, 2026 at 3:55 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313527Burly blisters a liner into center that’s going to mushroom the St. Louis advantage to 5-0…..still just 1 out.
July 19, 2026 at 3:53 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313524Herrera just swung at ball 4 on a full count……and it works to our benefit as on the next pitch Ivan lines a single to right with JJ scooting around to 3rd……now Walker ramrods a long one to left and that baby is……off the top of the wall and bouncing back into play…..in trots JJ with Herrera applying the brakes at 3rd and just like that the Cardinals have plated 3 and definitely looking to enhance that total this inning.
July 19, 2026 at 3:48 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313521Now JJ continues the 3rd inning with an rbi base hit to left. 2-0 Birds and looking to add more now that we have “Rodreego” on the ropes……gotta pound him while we can.
July 19, 2026 at 3:44 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313520A Blaze Jordan ringing triple plates Noot with the game’s maiden tally.
July 19, 2026 at 2:24 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313517Indeed Booyah, this one will be a toughie to score more runs than the opposition. Jimmy Lee Crooks seems to be finding his swing with the big club, so hopefully we’ll see him getting an at bat or two. Fermin has been a pleasant surprise to me and if anyone has a decent shot of success vs “Rodreego” (Eduardo Rodriguez) today, it’s “The Ferminator”.
And I think I speak for many around here with this burning question for Rat…..hey Rat, you often make reference to you enjoying a heaping bowl of Turkey Hill vanilla bean ice cream. Do you add anything to it? I love adding a big gob of Jiff peanut butter to my vanilla bean ice cream. And if I’m really feeling frisky, I go all out and also add mass quantities of Hershey’s chocolate syrup, fresh banana chunks and Planters cocktail peanuts.
July 18, 2026 at 6:56 am in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #97 thread – Saturday, July 18 at Arizona #313413Let’s hope we get the good Dustin May today…….you know, the one who tossed a 1 hit complete game shutout vs San Diego and handcuffed Brewer batters in both appearances against Milwaukee…..and not the bad Dustin May that got royally tattooed in Atlanta and Kansas City.
Din-din today will be a return trip to The Del-Bar up in the Wisconsin Dells. You know those cheap flimsy lobster tails that so many establishments like Red Lobster serve. Well that’s not what you get at The Del-Bar. For only $70 you get 2 big fresh plump tasty lobster tails and all of the fixings.
July 17, 2026 at 11:32 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #96 thread – Friday, July 17 at Arizona #313397O’Brien with the SAVE……5-4 your merry final. We pick up a full game on the cubbies who got pelted at home by the Twinkies today 5-2.
July 17, 2026 at 11:28 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #96 thread – Friday, July 17 at Arizona #313396Arenado opens their 9th with a walk and then the pinch runner(Vargas) abruptly gets picked off…..how sweet is that!
July 17, 2026 at 11:24 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #96 thread – Friday, July 17 at Arizona #313392When you have the bases loaded and no outs, if you don’t score at least 2 runs then you get that empty feeling in your gut……which is what I’m feeling right now. We seized the lead, but also left the door ajar for an Arizona comeback.
July 17, 2026 at 11:19 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #96 thread – Friday, July 17 at Arizona #313390Well said, TD. A Herrera sac fly will get Church home safely with the go-ahead tally……and Sewald sent to the showers……and lookie here…..Gassy is now positioned to earn himself his first ML “W”. First things first though as we need some additional insurance.

July 17, 2026 at 11:15 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #96 thread – Friday, July 17 at Arizona #313388JJ lines a single to center, hit so hard that Church had to slam on the brakes at 3rd. Bases juiced with nary and out and Herrera at the dish looking to cream one.
July 17, 2026 at 11:13 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #96 thread – Friday, July 17 at Arizona #313384Almost looked like Seward wanted no part of Jimmy Lee Crooks in that at bat. Cardinals perched at 1st and 2nd with no outs here in the top of the 9th in an even-steven 4-4 ballgame.
