“The Ferminator” spanks a base hit to right that will send the Arizona Ace to the showers after 68 pitches.

Drey Jameson the new Diamondbacks hurler. Hopefully we can treat this fellow just as rudely as we did to their starter. Nootster stepping to the plate for the second time this inning…..wouldn’t that be something to see him 3 times this inning. Noot whacked it right on the button, but unfortunately right in the vicinity of their left fielder.

A win here elevates Pallante’s win total to 11, which if my calculations are correct, puts him smack dab at accruing 19 wins on the season.

Looks like Cardinal in France may be burning the midnight oil in the south of France this evening. What time is it there, CIF?

Im sure CIF enjoys the early games. Its not midnight yet.

Can’t stay around and watch on this busy Sunday. Got stuff to do. Dinner might be this new Filipino flame grilled chicken spot down the way later.

Pallante works around a 2 out Corbin Carroll double to once again keep Arizona off the scoreboard. We head to the 5th

Looks like Booyah has a major league din-din on tap this evening.

Velasquez on looks alone should whack 50 dingers a year. But unfortunately for him looks don’t count……and this time he goes down looking to commence the Redbird 5th. Burly lines a base hit to center….his 3rd hit on the day…..let’s stay with the action shall we? Jameson still on the hill for AZ.

Winn lofts an extremely lazy can of corn to short left for the second out here in the 5th.

The Ferminator with the count full doesn’t bite on a low one…come on Noot.

Noot …….walks and now the bases are totally crammed with Cards and Jameson is getting yanked. We await the new hurler.

Philip Abner……not related in any fashion whatsoever to Mr. Doubleday, is the new Diamondbacks pitcher.

“Blazing Saddles” Jordan rips a base hit to right that will send Burly safely home……and here comes The Ferminator prancing home too with the 7th Cardinal run.

Move over Tinkers to Evers to Chance, as here comes Winn to Wetherholt to Burly…….very very smooth twin killing here in the bottom of the 5th to discourage any Diamondbacks thinking of scoring.

Kepler robs Herrera of hit on a dandy sprawled out catch in left to open the 6th.

Geesh Walker is big in stature…..and now in baseball efficiency too. This walk to him here in the 6th can be Exhibit A as to his transformation from a year ago.

Since a few Diamondback pitchers have hit the showers, I now feel compelled to lather up too with this humongous advantage…….only their showers were forced, while mine will be by my own free will. Let’s keep the shutout intact gang!

As soon as Pugs leaves, Pallante can’t get anyone out! It’s 7-1 with the bases jammed with Dbacks in the 6th before he finally records an out.

Jordan’s now 3 for 4 with 3 RBI’s and a triple. A real nice days work for the young 3B’man.

Not at all a good look from Fermin as that miscue out in LF makes it a 2 run lead and places this game up for grabs.

How go you get caught off base on that weak little broken bat pop nub job? In days of yore that would be a $2 fine…
