Yep, I remember that now.
August 21, 2022 at 7:14 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 120 thread – Sunday, August 21 at Arizona #196950Wonderful to read this game recap…where’s TexasCard? Is it time to break out his famous catch phrase yet??
Forgive me 25 and TexasCard, but I might have forgotten. Did he do the Buck “that’s a winner” line?
And with Carter re-emerging, I seem to remember him posting a winner-winner-chicken-dinner pic after wins. Or maybe it was somebody else.
August 21, 2022 at 7:03 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 120 thread – Sunday, August 21 at Arizona #196947Reluctantly had to leave the TV/game when the Cards were trailing, but returned just in time to see Gallegos close it. Nice, that’s two in a row for him. Sure would help if he’d regain his good form for the stretch drive.
August 21, 2022 at 4:56 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 120 thread – Sunday, August 21 at Arizona #196838Goldy’s bat looked slow against some hittable pitches by Kelly just then. Maybe hitting all those barrels lately has worn him out for today.
August 21, 2022 at 4:49 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 120 thread – Sunday, August 21 at Arizona #196834Good to see Stratton effective today. I think his previous few appearances didn’t go well. Maybe he and Q are trading off.
August 21, 2022 at 1:31 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 120 thread – Sunday, August 21 at Arizona #196764Good comparison gscott. I always liked reading about Gehrig too. I am a lefty who preferred playing 1B growing up, so maybe that is what drew me in as a fan. Given that, no surprise Goldy is my favorite Cardinal now. I love watching his defense probably more than his hitting. I get a kick out of people who say Goldy needs to get a personality and enjoy the game more. What they don’t like about him is what I do like. It’s also fine to be an extroverted emotional player, but no need to choreograph or fake it. For Goldy, it would be faking.
August 21, 2022 at 1:16 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 120 thread – Sunday, August 21 at Arizona #196762Retirement the last couple years has been very good for me on the late games. I still need as much sleep, but usually make it up the next morning if necessary. It’s nice to not be a servant to the alarm clock.
If the Yadi situation is what it seems to be, it is perplexing and disappointing.

NoDoz will be a primary partner throughout the remainder of the pennant drive. The play-by-play booth will be chock-full of free samples.
Hi, Pugs. How are you today?
August 21, 2022 at 12:10 am in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 120 thread – Sunday, August 21 at Arizona #196713C27, another things is the Phil haven’t exactly torn it up lately either. That might help if the Brewers catch fire later.

August 20, 2022 at 10:11 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 119 thread – Saturday, August 20 at Arizona #196641I guess Hicks skipped the Spring training drills. Get his butt out now. This has been completely unnecessary.

August 20, 2022 at 9:45 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 119 thread – Saturday, August 20 at Arizona #196609Maybe Albert could give switch hitting a crack so they’d feel better about letting him play every day.

August 20, 2022 at 8:20 pm in reply to: 2022 Cardinals MLB Game 119 thread – Saturday, August 20 at Arizona #196538I suppose it’s too late for Albert to join the triple crown conversation.
