Thursday thread disappeared Willie in the middle of Name that Player! Everybody ended up here on Friday!
Your starting pitcher gets a quality start and the pen throws 3 scoreless innings. You’d take that every night, but it doesn’t seem so good when your offense gets 1 hit through 8 innings.
Now in the 9th, Donovan and Edman both get on to set the table for the big boys. Maybe a walk off coming up?
Well goldy let’s us down, arenado gets a little pop up to land. Bases loaded for Albert. Would be a great time for something great.
Well Albert gives us a sac fly. Close play at third. Heck of a throw. Almost got edman. Need a hit, wild pitch.
Turns out that Donovan being thrown out at home meant something. Not a great start to the series. Going to need a win tomorrow.
Losing to the reds isnt what we need to be doing. Be one thing if it was a high scoring affair but having our offense pretty much shut down isn’t good.
Had the right guys up, just couldn’t get it done. Play another one tomorrow. Take good care, Redbird fans!
Scrappy but no cigar. Need more runs earlier in the game. Good drama but life is much easier playing with a lead. Pitchings ok and good to see Goldy hitting again. 1st game in this series so its not funk.
