Is Jhon Torres now actually back with the Cards? I never saw a roster transaction. It shows that he played last night at the FCL game and went 0-4 at 1B. We had released him last season. He was once an up and coming star but then stopped hitting and was frequently hurt. It was just curious to see his name in our lineup.
Very interesting. Perhaps Torres had requested his release but later changed his mind and they brought him back. 23 years of age in the FCL doesn’t suggest a bright future ahead.

Looking back in the box score, that has been changed to Miguel Vargus. I don’t think Torres ever played in the game. They wore the same number, so someone looked on the old list and put Torres’ name in the box score. I do still see his name on the roster, and MiLB still shows him as active on his player page, but I don’t think he is around. Good catch by you, tho!
