July 24, 2026 at 4:06 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #103 thread – Friday, July 24 vs. Cincinnati Reds #313934
Yes aberosa, it is indeed a rainy day around the St. Louis area today. But the good news is that the Doppler Radar shows it has all but moved out of the downtown metro St. Louis area. There appears to be some small cells a little north and a little west of the city but nothing major.
Chances are this one gets in. And if we are delayed I don’t anticipate a lengthy one.

July 24, 2026 at 12:01 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #103 thread – Friday, July 24 vs. Cincinnati Reds #313918We swept the Reds in St. Louis a few weeks ago. They will be looking for revenge. And since we are playing like sh~t now I’d say we will lose two of these three.
Din-din today is a CCFF. Cardinals Catfish Fiddlers Friday. Out at the Amish restaurant north of town on the lake. Catfish Fiddlers, mashed potatoes/gravy, noodles, dressing, sweet iced tea, a piece of pie and some vanilla soft serve ice cream afterwards. Then after all that a 7×50 Palma Real Presidente cigar out on the patio.

We better NOT trade anybody. And rely on free agency in the near future to get us over the top.
July 23, 2026 at 7:45 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #102 thread – Thursday, July 23 vs. Arizona D-Backs #31387710-6 Arizona your unhappy final.
Looking more and more like sellers.
I sure hope not though. We need to stand pat with what we got and allow free agency to get us over the top.
Next up Cincinnati for a three game weekend series at Busch. Then the Cubs for three at Busch.
July 21, 2026 at 2:31 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #100 thread – Tuesday, July 21 at Los Angeles Angels #313697I guess the chefs at Applebees don’t realize that when you say you want your steak well done there should NOT be red in the middle of it. More than just a little red too.
July 21, 2026 at 11:17 am in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #100 thread – Tuesday, July 21 at Los Angeles Angels #313681Another tough loss last night. Need to rebound with a win tonight.
And din-din today will be a trip to Applebees. A ribeye steak, well done, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, and a Coke. Then after that a trip across the street to Walmart to get some things.
July 21, 2026 at 10:59 am in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #99 thread – Monday, July 20 at Los Angeles Angels #313677no, it’s not sell time. we just need to sit tight and not do anything. if you keep selling what you have you end up like the Pirates and Reds have been for a long time.
Keep what we have and then a big bat and starting pitcher via free agency. Which means somebody is going to have to spend some $$$.
The only other option is what we’ve seen from the Reds and Pirates for years now – mediocrity.
July 21, 2026 at 10:38 am in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #99 thread – Monday, July 20 at Los Angeles Angels #313673858,
I was wondering the same thing about what Walker was jumping at. He wasn’t even really close. That ball was almost catchable.Time to reel off about 7-8 in a row. Losses that is. Then do nothing at the deadline cause this team needs everything it has. Plus a big bat and an ace starting pitcher. And they are only going to come via free agency.
And how about the Reds? They walk the lefty hitter to pitch to Raleigh and he hits a grand slam on the first pitch!

July 20, 2026 at 8:30 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #99 thread – Monday, July 20 at Los Angeles Angels #313635The atmospheric conditions are quite nice for this one tonight. Temps in the low 70s and literally no chance of precipitation.
It never rains in southern California..:)

July 20, 2026 at 2:28 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #99 thread – Monday, July 20 at Los Angeles Angels #313620Ahhhhh!
A west coast game. Nothing better. And the Reds are also out west. They begin a three game series in Seattle tonight. I’ll catch the first couple of innings of that one before I switch over to the Redbirds and Angels.
I think this game is an important one. Sort of a rebound type game.
Din-din today was a couple of baked potatoes, some Allen Cut Italian green beans, an ice cold slushy Mt. Dew, and a bowl of Turkey Hill Vanilla Bean ice cream.
Then later tonight me and Whitey Herdog will be on the couch together with a couple of 7×50 Palma Real Presidente cigars.

July 19, 2026 at 2:55 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313518No Pugs, I typically do not add anything to the ice cream. I prefer the good old fashioned taste of the Homemade Vanilla and the Vanilla Bean. Sometimes plain chocolate is just as good.
And as far as BikeMike working out there at Coors Field in Colorado today……he may as well focus on the job at hand as the Reds are smoking the Rockies 8-1 in the 2nd.
And the Cubs are pounding the Twins 10-0 at Wrigley.
And the Doyers also pounded the Yankers in Game One today at Yanker Stadium. 8-2 was your final. And something to note was the Doyers did not yank a dong today in game one at Yanker Stadium.
July 19, 2026 at 12:54 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #98 thread – Sunday, July 19 at Arizona #313509Now on to the important stuff.
Hot and dry weather conditions will prevail in Phoenix. The game will be played without a glitch.
And din-din today will be a ribeye steak on my little grill. Along with some mashed potatoes, an ice cold slushy Mt. Dew, and some Turkey Hill Vanilla Bean ice cream.
Will start out watching the Reds and Rockies from Coors Field in Colorado Springs then tune over to the BOB for the Cards/DBacks affair.

July 18, 2026 at 4:57 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #97 thread – Saturday, July 18 at Arizona #313459It’s 5-1 now and the Cards have the bases loaded and one out. Winn strolling to the dish.
Here is their chance…….
July 18, 2026 at 12:55 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #97 thread – Saturday, July 18 at Arizona #313434Din-din here in SW Indiana today will be Hungry Man’s Fried Chicken TV dinner, an ice cold slushy Mt. Dew, a couple of Butterfinger candy bars, and a bowl of Turkey Hill Original Vanilla ice cream.
Sure is hot here too. Around 90 again today. We’ve had alot of heat and humidity the last couple of weeks.

July 17, 2026 at 11:35 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #96 thread – Friday, July 17 at Arizona #313401That last strike three was clearly a ball!
And Arizona had a challenge left.
What was Marte thinking? Or rather not thinking???
July 17, 2026 at 6:53 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #96 thread – Friday, July 17 at Arizona #313361Why is Romero now on the IL?
July 16, 2026 at 8:24 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #96 thread – Friday, July 17 at Arizona #313291In case you are wondering early about the meteorological conditions for this one.
It will be sunny and warm down in the Phoenix area. Highs around 101. No chance for rain.
And speaking of rain. Today (Thursday) about 1:00 as me and Whitey walked out onto the porch just before I was about to commence mowing the rains came. They didn’t last too long but fairly heavy. We had about .6 in about a half hour. That wiped out mowing but I was able to go ahead and mow during the evening.
And din-din for this fine Friday will be the CCFF. Cardinals Catfish Fiddlers Friday. Out at the Amish restaurant north of town on the lake.

July 15, 2026 at 8:44 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #96 thread – Friday, July 17 at Arizona #313238At least this game is not the stupid AppleTV game and we will be able to watch it.
I’ll start with the Reds around 8:40 here in SW Indiana and then switch over to the Cards and DBacks.
This is about like McGwire’s homeruns in 1998.
Did it do the team alot of good???
Home Run Derby.
“YAWN………..”
who cares about it.
does it do the Redbirds any good?????
July 12, 2026 at 12:32 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #95 thread – Sunday, July 12 vs. Atlanta Braves #312799FYI here,
The entire midwest looks all clear today. Even as far as Pittsburgh. As they say, we are good to go today. And din-din this fine Sunday will be a ribeye steak on the grill. I’ll try and not start any fires today. Some mashed potatoes, an ice cold slushy Mt. Dew, and a piece of Angel Food cake. All whilst me and Whitey Herdog tune in to the Cubs/Reds first and then the Braves/Cards games. Along with a 7×50 Palma Real Presidente cigar.

July 11, 2026 at 12:38 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #94 thread – Saturday, July 11 vs. Atlanta Braves #312572Good Saturday afternoon to everyone.
Here’s to hoping Liberatore can get off the schneid in this one and hurl a gem.
According to the Doppler Radar there does appear to be some lingering scattered showers in the greater St. Louis area. But then again we are several hours from first pitch. Hopefully they will move on and not be a factor tonight.
Din-din today will be Hungry Man’s Fried Chicken dinner, an ice cold slushy Mt. Dew, a piece of Angel Food cake, and a bowl of Turkey Hill Vanilla Bean ice cream.

July 10, 2026 at 11:31 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #93 thread – Friday, July 10 vs. Atlanta Braves #312535I guess the game has been re-started – finally. Must have been about a 2-3 hour rain delay.
Anyway, it’s 1-0 Braves in the top of the 6th.
DBacks pounding the Doyers. The Doyers have made three errors so far. Arenado with three straight walks so far.
Giants and Rockies are 1-1 in the 7th at Candlestick Park.
UPDATE:
Apparently there was a deluge in St. Louis. Rain/water got into the Cards dugout. The delay was 2 hours and 43 minutes.-

July 10, 2026 at 8:55 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #93 thread – Friday, July 10 vs. Atlanta Braves #312529Based upon the Doppler Radar it’s hard to say when this one will resume. Or even if it will resume.
And the Reds down the Cubs tonight. 4-0 Cincinnati your final at Riverfront Stadium.
I guess I will tune in to the DBacks and the Doyers from Doyer Stadium here momentarily.
July 10, 2026 at 8:11 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #93 thread – Friday, July 10 vs. Atlanta Braves #312525And as I suspected might happen the game is in a rain delay.
The big pile of green stuff moved southeast instead of east.
Milwaukee and Pittsburgh also rained out tonight at Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh.
Reds lead the Cubs 1-0 at the 7th inning stretch. Elly May Clampett a dong for Cincinnati.
