Cards.TV // KMOX // WIJRJuly 12, 2026 at 12:31 pm #312798Well, doesn’t look like anybody’s interested in the doings of the St. Louis Cardinals today. Looks like I’ll have to lie back and digest my din-din of beef filet, French fries and corn-on-the-cob all by my lonesome, perhaps rising a bit later for a bowl of ice cream and fresh raspberries.
I’ll see if I can’t cheer our birds on to a comfortable win to see us through the midsummer break.
Rah Cardinals!
July 12, 2026 at 12:32 pm #312799FYI here,
The entire midwest looks all clear today. Even as far as Pittsburgh. As they say, we are good to go today. And din-din this fine Sunday will be a ribeye steak on the grill. I’ll try and not start any fires today. Some mashed potatoes, an ice cold slushy Mt. Dew, and a piece of Angel Food cake. All whilst me and Whitey Herdog tune in to the Cubs/Reds first and then the Braves/Cards games. Along with a 7×50 Palma Real Presidente cigar.

I’d say go figure, but I’d have to say that if I could ever figure out the game of baseball, I’d no longer bother to watch.

July 12, 2026 at 1:41 pm #312825Anyone who ever saw J. R. Richard stand atop a pitchers mound and work to hitters saw what may have been the most intimidating sight this side of Randy Johnson. I’m happy this Braves pitcher ain’t him.

July 12, 2026 at 1:59 pm #312829Somebody show May where the plate is.
July 12, 2026 at 1:59 pm #312830That’s 4 BB’s and 51 pitches from May in his first 2 innings work. I’m pretty sure he won’t collect his second CG of the season…
July 12, 2026 at 2:30 pm #312832Looked like he got in there.
July 12, 2026 at 2:42 pm #312833Church has really quit the building. He’s suffering through an 0 for 19.
July 12, 2026 at 2:45 pm #312834May can’t answer the bell after 4 innings. Can anyone at all show up and turn in an honest day’s work?

July 12, 2026 at 2:51 pm #312836Wetherholt always gloves and gets rid of it quickly, but I can’t count how many bonus GIDP’s have been the result of Winn’s right arm.
July 12, 2026 at 2:51 pm #312837I am sure Our Bill is tired of buying pitchers.
July 12, 2026 at 2:54 pm #312839Man, Ritchie’s working like his near namesake as he hasn’t allowed the Cardinals a solitary base hit.
July 12, 2026 at 3:04 pm #312842Willie Jr’s still paying the pitcher he bought prior to May and that guy’s 11-1 on the season. Probably should of kept him.
July 12, 2026 at 3:13 pm #312846The Cardinals have done a nice job of working to Albies in this series. He was a pain in the backside the last time the Redbirds faced the Braves.
July 12, 2026 at 3:26 pm #312849Nice…Fermin delivers the 2 out 2 run base hit to tie it up! Those big 2 out RBI’s have always been my favorite flavor.
July 12, 2026 at 3:33 pm #312852Nice work…Graceffo sets them down in order to demonstrate the proper approach when your team has just battled back to tie it up.
July 12, 2026 at 4:18 pm #312863We had our chance but…
July 12, 2026 at 4:19 pm #312866The 9th was a bit if a mess. Crooks K’s for the 3rd time to end it.
July 12, 2026 at 4:32 pm #312868Crooks not showing a lot at the big league level, but guys have started that way before and made great strides their second time around.
Tough to lose on an error. But Winn will save a lot more runs than give away. He’s the biggest single key to our defense – just makes so many great plays and throws. 50-45 at the 95 game mark. Better than most of us expected.
