I know we just need a base hit, and that I don’t want Munoz reaching for something stupid. But, man, a homerun would be really nice right now. Some breathing room would be excellent.
Honestly, it just doesn’t seem to me that Shildt’s heart is in it. It feels like he got thrown into a situation he doesn’t want to be in, which is understandable.
And, even though the team has seemed to…be slightly more motivated, I am not seeing that it’s because of him. He doesn’t seem to have that fire in your belly. It doesn’t feel like he is managing for his life out there. Like he is managing for the future of his career.
It feels like he is going through the motions and just trying to get through the season.
Well, I turned this God-awful game off.
One team showed up tonight, and one didn’t.
Okay, I’m starting to get a little annoyed.
I need to try this salsa.
Usually Chicago at home is not great, so I am happy to see the series start strong.
hey friends!
Went to the game Wednesday, and I have been recovering from a burn ever since.
Glad to see the Birds winning. (knock on wood)
Euro
You would be correct. But, did you ever think maybe rather than my birth year, maybe I was honoring the great Cards team of 82? 2 birds, one stone, I guess.
Wooooooo Gomber beating it out! Love it.
Haha…35, but wow, what a guess!
And, trust me…no need to watch your language with me.
Thanks for the welcome.
Yes, I’ve always thought Homer and Christian Bale could easily be brothers.
Glad to have a lead, but if last night taught us anything…1 probably ain’t enough.
Poor Yadi seems very shaken. I hope that fan is okay.
I’ve been lurking this forum most of the season, but this is the first night I’ve felt compelled to create an account and getting involved.
What a disappointment! I am on the fence, honestly. Do you want someone to blow out their arm? Do you want to risk someone’s future? No, of course not.
But, to me, I think the guy earned the right to win or lose the game. So, if HE felt comfortable going, I would leave him in. If he gives up a hit, he gives up a hit. Hey, he tried. If he gives up a HR, it sucks, but like I said, to me, it’s his game to win/lose.
And who knows, maybe he lucks into a couple outs here and there.
