OK, The CiFs have just finished off a din-din of ice cold cantaloupe melon, filet steak, French fries and a bit of beaujolais. Dessert was a bowl of fresh strawberries. Simple and good. Yum!

Fruit Pugs! Think fruit! It’s practically mid-summer! The markets are overflowing with delicious, juicy, sweet fruit begging for someone to munch them! Think of that long-ago 32-inch waist. It may be only a dream now, but think 34, it’s within your grasp. Just two cinnamon pies, Pugs, and a bag of fruit! You’ll feel better for it!
I like this lineup.
We prepared for tonight’s sweep with a din-din of cold cantaloupe, ricotta and spinach tortellini with pesto sauce, iced tea and a finisher of Haagen-dazs vanilla with chocolate syrup.

Here’s hoping we can do another shutout tonight, or perhaps produce a more comfortable margin than three runs.
Din-din: Calves liver smothered in onions, ratatouille and little potato noisettes (don’t know what to call them in English). Beverage, iced tea. Desert, Haagen-Dazs vanilla splashed with chocolate syrup.

I like the look of that lineup tonight. The thing that worries me, however, is that eventually we will have to give up some of those promising bats to fix our underwhelming bullpen. None of our pen arms are worth more than a sack of BP balls in trade.
Din-din chez CiF tonight was garlic shrimp over tagliatelle, iced tea and a chilled fruit salad.
The ol’ eyelids are already drooping so I’m afraid I’ll have to catch this one on replay tomorrow. Let’s get some early runs and hang on to the doggone lead this time!

Stacking up a new infield at the bottom of the lineup? Wonder what the thinking of the braintrust was on that.
Din-din was simple again Sunday – filet of beef, baked potato, crunchy green salad with onions and tomato, finishing with a refreshing fruit salad. Beaujolais was the beverage.
Enjoyable game yesterday, apart from the walk-fest at the end.
It’s nice to see the offense producing. Let’s give McG some hefty support today.

It’s a wonder that Winn doesn’t completely dehydrate himself during the course of the game. He must spit a couple hundred times or more leaving practically no liquid in his body, unless he really glugs down water in the dugout.
Well, for those keeping track of such things, Saturday night din-din chez les CiFs was a very American pork chops, mashed potatoes, corn and cornbread with plenty of butter. Dessert later on will be whatever ice cream I find in the freezer.
Fun game last night but a disappointing finale. Another eight runs should do it tonight.
