Jack is bringing it…hitting 99 on the foul ball by Happ. Carlos is warm in the pen. And he gets the 2nd out in the 8th. A lot of pitches for him tonight but he still has the arm strength.

As they say, it’s been a low stress 100+. His delivery still looks relaxed in the 8th as he just got the final out.

Slow clap for Mr Flaherty. I didn’t expect him back for the 8th but he took it to the Cubs. He’s earned all the kudos he could get tonight.

A couple more runs in the top of the 9th would be nice.

Indeed, a little insurance never hurt anybody, ED. Boy this crowd is quiet…..just the way we like them.

Need Carlos to shut them down here. A win here is big!

I hope Carlos does his best Jack Flaherty impression here in the 9th. Remember Rich Little many moons ago? Wonder if he’s still alive and kicking? He sure was a great one.

Martinez in for the save. He’s been drama free lately, hope that continues. Still believe I’d have somebody ready to come in quickly if needed.

Rich little was funny! Loved watching him as a frequent guest on Carson.

You sure that’s not some remnants from those Popeyes apple cinnamon pies that may have become lodged in the beard, Wooster?

Martinez not even close as he walks Castellanos. Begging for trouble. Now Bryant lines a single. I’d have a real quick trigger with him.

Of course Carlos comes in and misses the plate by a ton. Can’t just make it a nice simple 9th.

Well, now two on for Schwarber. Get out your Pepto.

Oh Oh! No more walks Carlos….no no! A Bryant single brings the tying run to the dish with no outs. If Carlos blows this game, I won’t want to see him again until next March….if then. Perfect time for a twin killing…..oh what I wouldn’t give for one of those rascals!

Yep, but I wish it were a Popeyes bag like yours, Wooster.

Nice comeback by Martinez to get Schwarber. Maybe he’ll settle in now.

Not a great pitch by Cmart but he gets the K. One out.
