Cards waste another golden opportunity to score in the 4th. After the lead off double by Goldy, they go ꓘ, K, and F9

Yeah imagine one (Popeyes apple cinnamon pie) with vanilla ice cream on it.

Enough Wooster! You’ve got me thinking more about Popeyes apple cinnamon pies than the goings on in Wrigley. I’m THIS close to leaving the game and taking the 15 minute cruise to Popeyes.

Just got home and checking in. Looks like a tight game here…but the Cards have had some chances to get to Cy Hendricks. Gotta cut back those Ks with men in scoring position and none out. He always seems to squeeze out of it against us. Hopefully his luck runs out soon.

Very nifty defensive play by Edman. With all possible respect to Carp, there is no way Carp successfully executes that play.

Edman with a lead off triple in the 5th.

Nice triple to lead things off by Edman! Now let’s get him in, preferably with a base hit.

Edman with a leadoff 5th inning triple. If we don’t score here I’ll hold my breath for 5 excruciating minutes.

Bader singles home Edman, score 2-1. No outs, score more.

Bader rips one right back to where in originated from and out into center field for a hit…..2-1 Good Guys.

For shame. Hopefully that earlier HR is his highlight of the series, with many lowlights to come.

Don’t just stand there, Dexter! He may as well be in Antarctica as frozen as he looks.

I’m starting to trust the lower end of the order vs the upper end.

Indeed GameCard. One of the gamiest players I’ve seen come up for us in years.

Hendricks is really working the edges, that called 3 strike on Dexter looked low to me too

Cards take the lead, but more missed scoring opportunities. Hope Jack has a few more goose eggs to post on the scoreboard. He evidently will need them.

Cards should get into the cubs’ pen by the start of the 7th.

Wong injured. That is bad news for our team. Ugh.
