Cards waste another golden opportunity to score in the 4th. After the lead off double by Goldy, they go ꓘ, K, and F9
September 19, 2019 at 7:31 pm #106915Yeah imagine one (Popeyes apple cinnamon pie) with vanilla ice cream on it.
Enough Wooster! You’ve got me thinking more about Popeyes apple cinnamon pies than the goings on in Wrigley. I’m THIS close to leaving the game and taking the 15 minute cruise to Popeyes.
September 19, 2019 at 7:34 pm #106916If they can’t move em they need to start playin some small ball

stlcard25ParticipantJust got home and checking in. Looks like a tight game here…but the Cards have had some chances to get to Cy Hendricks. Gotta cut back those Ks with men in scoring position and none out. He always seems to squeeze out of it against us. Hopefully his luck runs out soon.
September 19, 2019 at 7:40 pm #106918Very nifty defensive play by Edman. With all possible respect to Carp, there is no way Carp successfully executes that play.
September 19, 2019 at 7:40 pm #106920Edman with a lead off triple in the 5th.
September 19, 2019 at 7:41 pm #106921
stlcard25ParticipantNice triple to lead things off by Edman! Now let’s get him in, preferably with a base hit.
September 19, 2019 at 7:41 pm #106922Edman with a leadoff 5th inning triple. If we don’t score here I’ll hold my breath for 5 excruciating minutes.
September 19, 2019 at 7:43 pm #106923Bader needs to bunt here.
September 19, 2019 at 7:44 pm #106924
stlcard25ParticipantBase hit Bader!! 2-1 Cards
September 19, 2019 at 7:44 pm #106925Bader singles home Edman, score 2-1. No outs, score more.
September 19, 2019 at 7:44 pm #106926Yowza, just get some wood on it!
September 19, 2019 at 7:44 pm #106927Bader rips one right back to where in originated from and out into center field for a hit…..2-1 Good Guys.
September 19, 2019 at 7:45 pm #106928
stlcard25ParticipantSo what happened with Rizzo? I thought he was out??
September 19, 2019 at 7:46 pm #106929He’s trying to do a Kirk Gibson number on us, stlcard25.
September 19, 2019 at 7:48 pm #106930Fowler with three awful ABs so far.
September 19, 2019 at 7:48 pm #106931
stlcard25ParticipantFor shame. Hopefully that earlier HR is his highlight of the series, with many lowlights to come.
September 19, 2019 at 7:48 pm #106932Don’t just stand there, Dexter! He may as well be in Antarctica as frozen as he looks.
September 19, 2019 at 7:49 pm #106933Tommy Edman again and again.
September 19, 2019 at 7:49 pm #106934I’m starting to trust the lower end of the order vs the upper end.
September 19, 2019 at 7:51 pm #106935Indeed GameCard. One of the gamiest players I’ve seen come up for us in years.
September 19, 2019 at 7:53 pm #106936Hendricks is really working the edges, that called 3 strike on Dexter looked low to me too
September 19, 2019 at 7:53 pm #106937Cards take the lead, but more missed scoring opportunities. Hope Jack has a few more goose eggs to post on the scoreboard. He evidently will need them.
Cards should get into the cubs’ pen by the start of the 7th.
September 19, 2019 at 7:54 pm #106938Now Wong out with injury and Carp into the game.
September 19, 2019 at 7:55 pm #106939
stlcard25ParticipantWong injured. That is bad news for our team. Ugh.
