That’s a lot of good news on those transactions. Glad to see Deniel Ortiz coming back. Good to get Moreno back too and have Hjerpe move up. Also nice to see Love promoted, although that is slightly unexpected given his mediocre results.

Good to see Love was promoted. I thought he’d begin the year at Memphis. He’s been good, much like Gastelum, but had a few bad outings that raised his era.

Also interesting to note with both Hence and Love have seen their velocity spike. I thought Love threw upper 90s in the past, but I thought he threw low 90 this spring training. Hence was throwing low 90s a month or so ago at Memphis about a month or so ago. Perhaps strengening and warmer weather helped.

I am glad to see the first 2 and Cruz sounds really exciting. But the last catches me off guard as Moreno looked like solid depth at least in Spring Training.

It seems unusual to release somebody in the middle of a rehab assignment.

Yeah I thought the same thing. I wonder if either things looked like he had a major set back or if some personal incident happened.

Where’s Peete been? I haven’t seen him play since he returned from being injured. Did he get urt again?

Yes, Peete returned to the IL on May 22 after taking just two at-bats after being activated.

Minor transaction, but good to see Victor pitching again!

06/10/26 – Memphis Redbirds sent RHP Victor Santos on a rehab assignment to FCL Cardinals.

Hopefully, Santos won’t pitch in one rehab game and then get released!

Jordan and Roycroft up. Gorman and Dobbins down. Urias to 60-day IL to make 40-man room for Jordan. Boom!

Cardinals Promote Jordan and Roycroft; Demote Gorman and Dobbins

Wow I halfway didn’t expect them to send Gorman down. But I am glad to see it. I don’t think Jordan is a 3B and unsure what they do there, but Jordan definitely deserved the opportunity to take some big league PA.

Hopefully, Santos won’t pitch in one rehab game and then get released!

I mean Moreno was a 31 year old depth piece they had signed out of Indy ball anyway. But Santos probably is going to have to earn a spot back in Memphis, especially with pending minor league free agency, I believe.

Not sure what they are doing at third. The only player that i ever saw that made up for bad defense was a juiced up bonds but we will see.

Haven’t seen this one in the matrix yet. Did the signing not go through?

Good to see Dos Santos promoted. If Palm Beach needs another infielder, Hernandez or LeBron may be next.

I look forward to seeing what Tre Richardson can do at Springfield. He has had a good season but time is running out for him.

Joe, thanks for the catch on Shinn. I wrote an article about him and put him on the Palm Beach roster but forgot to update the Matrix.
