Tyler O'Neill is now up to a 141 wRC+ on the season after his 19th and 20th homers of the season last night – of course, in just his 73rd game (the big knock on him, right?).

I guess that is one worthwhile RH bat off the deadline deal market.
His current 105 OPS+ exceeds that of Goldschmidt (84), Gorman (95) and Arenado (99) and is virtually the same as Nootbaar, Winn and Donovan. Any contender that is serious should be mindful of Randy’s clutch postseason 1.104 OPS+. And it wouldn’t hurt for a few more honeymoons to be over.
Makes sense, especially given where the Rays are. Arozarena is arb eligible and starting to get more expensive ($8.1mm this year). The Rays are always looking to replenish their cost-controlled assets.
They Rays are smart. They got maximum production out of Randy while he was cheap then flipped him for two decent prospects just as he is getting expensive. That is how they do business.
I hate the Rays and hope Mo does not trade with them ever again. They are smarter a deadly. They know exactly what to pluck out of somebody’s system. These two guys look like great examples. 4th and 6th rounders from last year and neither was bubble wrapped. The pitcher is up to 80+ pitches every turn, going 5 to 6 IP and pounding it. The outfielder is CF capable with a nice OPS and .400 OBP, and his K rate is not out of control. Very solid young prospects. Lack of 1st round pedigree means they will have to get further up the ladder than a Liberatore to maximize value, but you can count on the Rays to cash these guys out for top dollar. I hate them worse than the Cubs.
Arozarena has been hitting much better the last couple of months after a poor start to the year. He will add to the Mariner lineup, no doubt.
