One hit. Couldn’t ask more from Yamo.

The Yankees are running low on outs and in danger of heading back east down 2-0.

Chisholm stands in as the tying run. That’s what the Yankees want.

Judge has been a big zero in post season. To me if it continues the rest of his career, its going to affect his place in baseball especially in yankee history.

Oh boy, the HBP and they’re all jammed up for Volpe. I’m detecting some Yankee magic…

I agree, Willie. If he doesn’t win a WS with the Yankees, he’ll have what I call Mattingly syndrome…

Treinen and the Dodgers needed that K real bad. Now comes the hard part which is always the last out…

To me facing this dodger pitcher shouldnt be that hard. Anything with a bend that looks middle plate off his hand you dont swing at. If it looks like it might hit you, be ready to swing. I know its harder than that but swinging at an obvious ball on the first pitch just sealed the deal with bases loaded.

Whew! A little more excitement than I wanted!

I’m off to bed. These 5 a.m. bedtimes are ruining my beauty sleep.

I’ve had the volume muted. Anyone heard anything about the Ohtani injury?

Well 1tough i dont think he has to win one but he needs to show that he did his part to give them a shot to win one within the series. I saw where some mentioned a change in batting order. I have to kind of agree. He isnt a rookie or something that should be bothered by it mentally. Could in fact get his butt in gear. Stanton and soto are performing for the most part. Judge needs to step up.

Not exactly a smooth interview between Rosenthal, interpreter, and Yamamoto.

I also think the mattingly thing is unfair to mattingly. Mattingly knew he had a good team around him. He could have tried to hang around just to get that ring so i applaud him for retiring.

Rosenthal asked Yamamoto that question, who said via the interpreter something along the lines “not sure about details but I hope he’ll be fine.”

So not much to go on yet.

Thanks, Euro. If he can’t answer the bell on Monday, Eddie’s going to have to dial it up another notch…Haha!

Dave Winfield also comes to mind as an outstanding player for the Yankees who was never able to win a WS championship in NY. In any event, it’s my view that if a player wears pinstripes, he almost has to flash a ring to compliment the ensemble or no one notices.

Evidently Edman will do whatever the Dodgers need. I thought the Fox Sports panel (Burkhardt, ARod, Jeter, & Big Papi) with Freeman after the game was interesting.

Freeman went on a good bit about how much Edman means to them and praised their front office for pulling off the trade to get him. Freeman said so many of the same things as some of us on this site who have valued Edman highly. He summed it up by saying “that’s a “baseball player, a gritty baseball player.” He said things like Edman does so many things well, he helps you win in a variety of ways, he plays so many positions, he’s a gold glover at 2B and hasn’t even played there yet for us yet, haha.

Too bad Mo didn’t value Edman higher. Analytics don’t capture everything. Hopefully you have some smart baseball minds around to compensate for those shortcomings.
