Both Stanton and Rizzo are swinging the bat pretty well, so I’m not sure why Boone doesn’t try to incorporate them a little higher in the order.

Uh oh…Judge breaks out of his rusty cage with the 2 run tater off of Jack.

Whoa…Now Chisholm with the no doubter solo HR! Jack’s getting pounded early…3-0, Yankees.

Cole looking pretty good early. A pitcher like him can take an early 3 run lead and carry it all the way to the bank. No more room for the Dodgers. Roberts had better be ready to go get touchy and temperamental Jack at the first sign of more trouble.

    And it’s so long Jack.

Bye bye, Jack. He records 4 outs in 35 pitches while allowing 4 ER’s and 2 HR’s.

The lousy Jack was on display this evening. Yankees want to get back to sunny Southern California.

Jack is the pitching equivalent of the all or nothing hitter.

I’d say if the Yankees can win tonight, Dodger fans will be just a little nervous.

Looked like Cole got away with one on that 0-1 pitch to Ohtani.

Dodger fans and Dave Roberts. Roberts has to have 2004 in reverse on his mind.

And yes on the 0-1 to Ohtani 1TD. That’s a pitch a healthy Ohtani puts over the boards.

Cole dealing tonight. Yankees have some confidence now that dodger manager tried to get cute last game. I sure hope this goes all 7 games. Will make it interesting. Heck if yankees can have a couple more explosive innings, they could shut cole down early and bring him back for game 7 if it happens. Far as ohtani, i think his swing is really affected by the injury. Of course rizzo has two btoken fingers and has still contributed.

Man, Betts is so good in right field. The Cardinals used to play defense like that – one of our keys to success. But it has been lacking the last couple of years. We were a little better last year than the dismal 2023, but are not world class like we were at one time.

If the Yankees score one more run I’m going to bed.

Yeah, Bikemike, he’s credited with being the catalyst for that ’04 Red Sox team in thay year’s ALCS. Although it’s a different situation, I was thinking today about the ’96 WS when the Braves won the first 2 games only to see the Yankees answer back by winning 4 in a row.

Good point about Cole possibly working a game 7, Willie.

Nice play out in LCF from Judge to rob Freeman and probably keep a run from scoring. I’d say the entire tone of this WS seems to be changing over to favor the guys in pinstripes.

Im not sure the yankee skipper is smart to think that far ahead. Unlike the first game where he took him out too soon, hell probably have him pitch the whole game here even if they are up by ten

He’s at 49 pitches thru 4. Judge almost increased it to 8-0, but it would be hard for Boone to walk out and take Cole out of there. If the Dodgers were to climb back in to this game, there could be a lynching in NY…Haha!

Judge totally botches a ball off edmans bat for an error. Dont see major leaguers do that very often.

Yankees imploding here. Shortstop throws errant to third. I think he should have thrown to first. Throwing to third never works out.
