Yeah, Treinen couldn’t find the plate on the previous hitter, Chisholm. Down by a solitary run…Take a pitch!

Well, that’s that. Eddie and Freddie win a WS championship with Eddie being awarded the NLCS MVP and his big brother Freddie about to receive the WS MVP award. The best team won this WS, but the Yankees utterly gifted the Dodgers game 5.

Well rhats a series, dodgers win. Yankees deserved it after how they played and coached this game. Just horrible. If ole george wasnt already gone, he would def be so after this performance. Funny if cole had just turned and ran to first like any pitcher should, maybe this would be different. I still blame risso though. It would have been close even if cole ran after risso took his time.

Wow, that was some finish! Congrats to the Dodgers. I’d like to think we could give them a run next season, but not looking good right now. They’ve got high class pitching, not to mention Freeman, Ohtani and Betts. But still looking forward to the spring!

The Dodgers have Tommy Edman the Cardinals don’t. Stupid Cardinals.

Tommy Edman came around to score the WS winning run, GameCard. When Eddie reaches, Eddie scores…And now he’s the proud recipient of a bold and flashy WS ring. I’ll also say that he was a major contributor to a Dodger’s world championship and they may very well have not been able to make this post-season run without him as a part of their team. I’m real happy for him.

This was the first WS to end in Oct. since cardboard baseball fans.

I guess one could say Tommy Edman’s injury and surgery this year was a tremendous stroke of good fortune. If he hadn’t been on the injured list he probably wouldn’t have been traded, and if he hadn’t been traded he wouldn’t be awaiting his new world series ring today. Instead he would be slogging his way through Mo’s reset/rebuild swamp for the undetermined future.

    Once again, bravo Tommy!

I hear you, GameCard……I already long for the days when Eddie sported Cardinal red and played wherever and whenever needed…….and did so with such excellence. How could a team……a rational team…..jettison a player such as this out…..and receive so very little in return? Players like Edman are so very few. When you get one you keep them. Even with all of the superstars that the Dodgers possess, if they don’t make the trade for Edman, there’s a good chance they wouldn’t have won it all this year.

Congrats to the Los Angeles Dodgers! Boy, that was some game five – the Yankees absolutely gave away the game. When you have to get six outs in an inning, and do it against a team with a lineup as deep as LA’s, you will probably pay.

That play at first was the killer. Even after the two errors, you make that play and you are still up 5-0. Neither Rizzo nor Cole hustled on that play, while Betts did and that was the death knell.

I really enjoyed the games, despite the Yankees sloppy play in game five. Alright, another season in the books. Let’s warm up the stove.

I was glad to see them Bums from Brooklyn pull out the victory. Freeman deserved the MVP. What a performance!

Yeah, 4 HR’s and 12 RBI’s for Freddie in FIVE games. To put that in perspective, it’s tied for the record with Richardson who also had 12 RBI’s in the ’60 WS. Mantle is second with 11 RBI’s in that same ’60 WS, but both Richardson and Mantle placed those RBI numbers into the books in SEVEN games. Freddie Freeman went on a WS rampage for the ages.

Question: Which current St Louis player will go on to earn the NLCS MVP for different team in the near future. You know there’s going to be one. Mo has got this down to a science.

    I’d guess Contreras.
