Well, they finally got him out.

This game’s still up for grabs in the visitor half of the 5th. The Dodgers are going to need Eddie’s talented mitt at SS and his raw power at clean-up to propel them to WS showdown with the Yankees…

Phillips allows a BB in front of Alonso who now stands in as the tying run. Not too swift.

This mayhem guy in the insurance ads is pretty funny. Sometimes I think he’s driving around in our neighborhood…

    Lousy decision by Alonso.

Sometimes being a bsaeball fan places me in a position I would term ambiguous. I’d guess that most baseball fans are almost obliged to dislike both the Yankees and the Dodgers, but at the same time, I think most baseball fans would like to see a Yankees/Dodgers WS. And I’m certainly one of those fans. If it’s not the Cardinals/Yankees in the WS, my next best choice would be Yankees/Dodgers, and with the Dodgers now up by 6 runs in the home half of the 8th inning, it’s looking to be Little Eddie vs. Judge, Stanton and Soto…Haha!

Have they announced the MVP yet?

I don’t see how they could award it to anyone other than Edman, but Betts may sneak in there.

Real happy to see Edman go to a winner. He fits in well with this Dodger team.

Haha!…Little Eddie wins the NLCS MVP award. He reminds me of Jack Crabb in “Little Big Man.”

Eddie beats out guys named Ohtani, Betts and Freeman for NLCS MVP. Now he’s slated to be David slaying Goliath in the form of Judge, Stanton and Soto!

Albert Pujols collected 9 RBI’s in both the ’04 and the ’11 NLCS, but he never pushed 11 across HP in a post-season series…Haha!

It should be an epic clash in the World Series. Two iconic teams who have faced each other countless times in the Series although not since 1981. And should be easy for MLB to market Ohtani vs Judge.

I will be pulling for the Dodgers since I am a NL guy. In my entire life the only times I have rooted for the AL team were in 1986 and 2016. I couldn’t stand the Mets in the 80’s and have never liked the Cubs.

Well that is three and counting post season MVP’s we have given up.

It is subtle but there is a difference in good players and winning players. Herzog was a genius at picking out winning players. The winning players do tose little things that help a team win even while sacrificing potential stats that help them at contract time.

The Dodgers pulled Tommy out of center field and installed him at shortstop during the San Diego series after the Padres capitalized on Dodger defensive leaks.

Yeah, GameCard, it’ll be fun watching him play against the Yankees in the WS. I’m also guessing Flaherty may take a turn or two.

Tommy Edman as NLCS MVP was an easy call. I called it over a month ago in a post somewhere on here, haha! Good to see for Edman, he was fun to watch as a Cardinal. I hate he’s gone. His overall contributions in so many different areas probably aren’t appreciated enough by most.

And can it be denied (?), Mo’s magic is real.

No question about it, Sooner. Most of us could clearly see that Edman possessed all of the subtle intangibles that combine to form a winning baseball player. You can’t quite place your finger on it but at the same time could almost see it in his eyes when he’s manned up on the field of play.

As much as I’ve never been a fan of the big market bully franchises, this has potential to be a good World Series. There are a few players I like and a couple I don’t care for — both sides. I can’t lose that way, can I? There will have to be something positive about the ultimate outcome.

Hey 1td, I recall you changed your profile picture to your grandchild when she was born a couple years ago. Do I remember correctly that she was your first? I kind of remember that because our first grandchild was born about the same time.

Have you had another? Our 2nd is supposed to report for duty in about 6 weeks.
