And just like that Kike Hernandez bounces into a DP with the bases loaded and the threat is over.

    6-3 Mets after six innings.

The Doyers still with a chance.

Dodgers are within reach, but getting low on outs. The 5-4-3 definitely hurt their chances.

Dodgers with only 3 hits in this game.

Neither team can find the plate. A total of 12 BB’s from Mets/Dodgers pitching today so far.

Dodgers need a 2 out something from Muncy.

It was looking to me like the Mets were on the verge of an epic meltdown with their pitching and defense in the 6th. Even the possible game-saving DP started with a bobble. Glad they’re all even now. I want everything to go 7 games from here on.

Yeah, Euro, the Mets did all they could to botch things up but the Dodgers just couldn’t pitch in with a timely hit.

Yankees up 3-0 with the only RBI coming on the Soto tater and the other 2 runs coming on WP’s. Cleveland pitchers looking like the “Mayhem” guy from the insurance ads…

Judge sure covers a lot of ground out in CF. He’s listed at almost 300 lbs. He really closed in fast on that scorching liner that looked like it was headed for the LCF gap from Ramirez.

Weaver now hasn’t allowed a run as he’s collected 4 saves in 5.1 IP’ed for the Yankees in this ’24 post-season as the Yankees win game 1 of the ALCS by a score of 5-2.

Edman had 3 of the 5 hits for the Dodgers today with 2 RBI. We should never let Eddie go. I hope the Dodgers win it all.

Eddie’s 8 hits also leads all Dodger players in the ’24 post-season.

The weather looks okay for tonight’s Indians and Yankees clash.

Might be some precip in the Altoona and Montpelier areas but I think Yanker Stadium will remain dry.

Hoping the Guards can keep these close, post season contests going and grab a split at the Stadium.

Anything can happen, but I’d say the Tribe needs a win tonight to have a decent chance to get past this ALCS.

I dont know if i agree with taking bibee out early. Maybe it works out short term but long term i dont like it.

My son’s in Manhattan doing business for the company he works for and he just sent me a text with a photo of Yankee Stadium taken from his seat about 15 rows up from the Yankee dugout…Haha! These kids have it made these days…

Judge gets his first homer this post season. Pretty good pitch actually but better hitting. Yankess up 6-2.

Yeah, the Yankees are flexing with a 6-2 lead and are in all probability going to take a 2-0 lead in this ALCS. And although the NLCS is tied at one game apiece, I’ll be really surprised if the WS is anything other than a Dodgers/Yankees contest. Too many horses on those two teams.

I agree thar it favors a dodger yankees ws but im not one who thinks you have to take one out of the first two on the road as a visiting team. Just win next two at home and its best of three. Are they using 2-3-2 firmat or is it 2-2-1-1-1.

I don’t know for sure, Willie, but I’d have to say it’s almost certainly a 2-3-2 set-up. I recall after the Cardinals lost the ’96 NLCS after blowing a 3 to 1 game lead, the Braves won the first 2 games against the Yankees in the WS and looked unstoppable. Then the Yankees put them away with 4 straight wins. Every game counts until the arithmetic says it’s over.
