Haha…Lester? Rumor has it that he spent the entire day working on his move to 1B…

Tommy Lane, aka Lane Thomas with a nice post season so far.

It’s a bit of a nostalgic look back to the post WWII days with New York teams and the Dodgers all still playing. Plus the only franchise that won the AL pennant other than the Yankees from 1947 through 1958 was Cleveland.

This should be fun. Go Guards!! 😀

Flaherty pitching well for dodgers so far tonight. Dodgers have gotten the mets starter out of the game.

Let’s see how Jack works to these Mets hitters the second time around. Uh oh…A lead-off BB’s no good.

I don’t know what Vientos is griping about. He needs to find a seat.

Well, he works around the two BB’s.

Dodgers and Flaherty now in command of this game. Eddie with an RBI single and a run scored.

Anything can happen, but I’d have to say that the Dodgers look to be by far the superior of the two teams participating in this NLCS.

Now take it easy there 1tough, one game doesnt a series make. Now i do favor the dodgers in this. I think the padres let them off the hook so i expect the dodgers bats to pick it up but mets have shown a lot of spunk this year.

Jack is on it tonight. You could send him out there for the 7th but if i did, id def pull him if someone got on. Need him fully healthy and rested for next start.

Oh, you’re right, Willie. I meant the Dodgers look far superior on paper, but we both know that this NLCS will be decided after they’ve been played on grass and dirt. And this is baseball. This season’s White Sox can beat the ’27 Yankees on any given day. Or night…

Ohtani flys out to deep CF. He seems to only have warning track power…

Jack 7 innings shutout ball. I figure hes done now. Just over 100 pitches. A really good game.

Jack is good when he’s good.

That’s 7 innings of real nice post-season work from Jack in game 1 of this NLCS after a shaky turn in which he took the loss vs. SD in the NLDS. He also had real nice post-season turn in game 5 of the ’19 NLDS in ATL. when the Redbirds staked him to a 10-0 first inning lead. He does well when he works with a nice lead.

Did Flaherty throw a knuckle curve while with the Cardinals? I don’t remember him doing that.

Me either. I remember a decent to good slider and a curveball that was occasionally featured to suggest he could throw one, but I don’t recall anything along the lines of what’s termed as a knuckle-curveball.

Dodgers are putting there on-field play where their money is. Going by these last three games you have to think they are the top team remaining. But we will see how things play out.

Jack back to full health. Good to see him on top of his game. Tommy E doing some good things as well. So we have Jack, Tommy E, Tommy L (Lane Thomas) and Weaver all contributing significantly to their respective post season team’s run.

Yeah, there’s no question that the Dodgers/Yankees have the horses and I think most fans would prefer to see a WS with those two participants as opposed to the Mets/Indians.

And quicker than the Dodgers can say, “What hath occured?” the Mets put 6 runs up on the board with the help of the GS from Vientos.

I wouldnt mind a dodgers yankees world series since ive been a yankee fan almost as long as a cardinal fan. Though preference would be cleveland since they havent won in a long while. Mets are forever a catdinal enemy so i dont really want them though with bader being on the team, would be nice for him though he doesnt play much.

As great as ohtani seems to be, he seems to struggle vs lefties. I know manaea is pretty good and has a hard arm angle for lefties but a great player should be able to adjust.

Oh boy…Mets get just what they need from Freeman and they can’t execute the 4-6-3. Bases jammed up and no outs.

Little Eddie with the 2 RBI single to make it 6-3.
