Nola maybe losing steam in the 6th, score 2-0 Mets. Mets with two on, no outs and Alonso up, Mets looking to put a hurting on the Phils.

Peter jacked one and then Winker whacked one.

It’s now 4-0 Mets after six.

Phillies about to have their backs to the wall.

Looking forward to the Doyers and Padres game tonight.

A single by Iglesias with two outs brings in two more. 6-0 Mets after seven innings.

This one is in the history books.

P.S. By the way, is it official that Goldschmidt will not be returning next year?

Mets bust it open to 6-0 on the 2 out bases jammed 2 RBI base hit from Iglesias. Those two out RBI’s always seem to be backbreakers.

Silly to go get this pitcher at 91 pitches after Sosa reaches on an IF hit. I’d have let Manaea work at least until 110 pitches or after he allowed a run or two. The guy who gets the baseball has been horrible and if this game were to go south for the Mets, they deserve it.

Phillies still trailing by 4 runs, but why give them any air? If Bohm were to have reached base the tying run would have been standing in the box. I don’t understand these managers being so quick to go out and get a SP’er when he’s been cruising on autopilot for the entire game. It’s stupid.

Estevez with the proverbial oven mitt out on the pitcher’s mound. I’d have looked better trying to field that bouncing baseball.

Mets are really playing good. I still think the phillies will win the series but im not liking the phillies relievers.

    7-2 Mets the final.

And by the way, I just noticed that the Cardinals did not have one complete game this year. Not even one. Hard to believe.

    Also still wondering about Goldschmidt.

Well, that’s that. The Phillies are down to their last gasp tomorrow at Citi Field.

Yeah, that surprised me, Willie. The Cardinals seem to be one of the very few organizations who don’t understand the importance of retaining the services of an experienced manager who has a track record that reflects some success. Either they’re none too swift, or they simply don’t care too much about the image they project to fans.

Home field advantage and winning 95-100 games means virtually nothing these days. Just get in…….and all of your wildest dreams can come to fruition. Having most of the first week of the playoffs off to “rest”, on the surface seems to be littered with positives, but actually appears to be detrimental.

Uh oh…The Padres are in in business with runners at the corners and 0 outs.

Oh boy…Dodgers don’t get a solitary out on that bouncing ball and it’s tied at 1.

Buehler and the Dodgers can’t get anyone out here in the 2nd. This could get out of hand early.

6-1, Friars. It’s getting a little bit ugly out there.

I still don’t understand how you can give the baseball to a pitcher to start a postseason game who was 1-6 with an ERA of 5.38 in 16 turns during the regular season. You might as well run Matz out there…

After the granny, 13 outs made, 11 runs scored, combined. Buckle up!
