If those were IBBs that’s about as lime as it gets in a ST game. Can’t tell on the ESPN gamecast.
March 17, 2021 at 5:57 pm #155868Has Arenado homered yet this spring?

stlcard25ParticipantIf Edman can play like he has this spring training, we will not miss Wong at all in the leadoff spot.
March 17, 2021 at 6:28 pm #155871
stlcard25ParticipantOf course, as soon as I say that, he gets picked off second.
March 17, 2021 at 6:34 pm #155872
jj-cf-stlParticipantyes, Edman at leadoff looks like a lock to start the season.
March 17, 2021 at 6:46 pm #155873Edman
Carlson
Arenado
Goldschmidt
DeJong
O’Neil
Molina
BaderThere, right there, that’s your everyday starting lineup. At least early in the season.

ParticipantRough game for some tonight. Bader, carlson, carpenter. Two strikeouts for bader.
March 17, 2021 at 7:44 pm #155876Right now Carp has a higher OBP then DeJong and Bader, and he is out OPSing DeJong.
March 17, 2021 at 8:14 pm #155877
jj-cf-stlParticipantCarp has faced a lot of lefties lately

ParticipantThank goodness, Forsch. Bader, Carlson, DeJong, and Carp are having a rough time of it.
March 18, 2021 at 1:59 pm #155912Thursday lineup
1. Tommy Edman (S) 2B
2. Paul Goldschmidt (R) 1B
3. Nolan Arenado (R) 3B
4. Paul DeJong (R) SS
5. Yadier Molina (R) C
6. Justin Williams (L) RF
7. Austin Dean (R) LF
8. Lane Thomas (R) CF
9. Daniel Ponce de Leon (R) PMarch 18, 2021 at 4:45 pm #155914As Pugs would say…..he looks for Arenado to get off the schneid in this one with a soaring dinger to left. And I would agree with him. I am going to tune in and see how far he hits his first wanger of the year.

March 18, 2021 at 5:20 pm #155915I meant DeJong, sorry, not Arenado. I expect DeJong to get off the schneid with a ringing dinger to left!

March 18, 2021 at 6:13 pm #155916I wonder what PdL’s pitch count is
March 18, 2021 at 7:40 pm #155918Quick programming note. Your’s truly went 6 innings strong in the PBP saddle last evening. It was a virtual reality 6 inning affair featuring our Memphis Redbirds vs Toledo’s Mud Hens. Toledo clipped our boys 5-4. Yes, as expected, I had a few cobwebs to unravel in the early going, but after inning #3, it was smooth sailing the rest of the way. One more short tuneup next week and I’ll be good to go come opening day in the Queen City.
March 18, 2021 at 7:48 pm #155919Pugs? What we’d have for din-din tonight?
Mine consisted of a ribeye steak in the air fryer, a baked potato, a piece of banana cream pie from the amish restaurant and a couple of peanut butter cookies from there as well.

ParticipantWell ponce didn’t have a great start tonight. Gave up 4 runs. That’s about what you are going to get from him. So if hes starting you figure you are going to have to score 5 at least and hope bullpen is sharp.
March 18, 2021 at 7:52 pm #155921I was tuned in for the battle tonight. Reyes came on for the 8th and whilst he threw the ball well he gave up two walks and a long double off the left center wall. He was removed after 28 pitches and thats when I turned the game off.

stlcard25ParticipantThe Cards rally in the 8th… Rondon walks with the bases loaded to get within one. Then Nolan Gorman crushes one into the gap to clear the bases and make it 7-5!!

ParticipantZack thompson looks like the real deal. I like his stuff. They are even talking about him being up this year. Seems early but if he has the stuff, ok. Getting himself in a jam here after the infield hit with a walk. Maybe needs to learn to focus with guys on. Regardless he has really good stuff.
March 18, 2021 at 8:20 pm #155924
stlcard25ParticipantThe last time I saw Thompson on Gameday, he looked to be sitting around 90 mph. Now he’s hitting 94+. That’s a good development. Two Ks and a popout for his outs tonight.
