Well now…. seeing that the Brewers beat the Cubs at Wrigley last year to go to postseason….
Maybe the Cubs hate the Brewers enough to let us sweep… just to spite the Brewers for last year. But we can’t bet on that… we have to win win win!!!
I went to bed early and started dosing off while watching the game… so I just turned it off and thought if I wake up in the middle of the night… I’ll just check the score.
Well… I woke up… so I turned on the FoxSportsgo app on my phone to see what happened. Lo and behold.. the game was still on, in the 11th inning with a 1 to 1 score.
So I continued watching. When Goldie hit his homerun to go ahead 2 to 1… I thought.. good… three outs and we put this in the win column.
Well…. when the next inning came on and I saw that Gant was going to Pitch… I immediately cringed and said NO!!!!!!!!!! Not GANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well my fears were answered… he let a run score and now were tied up again 2 to 2. Grrrrrr!!!! Please put Gant out to Pasture and don’t bring him back until next season, IF he is still around.
As far as the end of the game… I really do believe that Shildt did what he did on purpose, to end the game. My reasoning for this… it was 3:30ish or so (my time) when the game ended.
They have a day game this afternoon. They were going through the bullpen like crazy wearing everybody out. We have more games to play and need fresh players… and there is more at stake for us… compared to Arizona. So I think he did it… to start getting players rested.Yes.. Arizona will have tired players today also… but they don’t have a post season to worry about like the Cards do.
That’s just my thoughts on it.
Looking at the remaining schedules:
Brewers are away from here on out, at the Reds and at the Rockies.
It looks like their current road record is 37-38.
So to me… that looks to be in our favor a bit.The Cubs finish out away from home also, at the Pirates and with Us.
Their road record is 31-44.
Although you can’t rely on the Pirates to do anything, hoping they
come through with a Win for Pride over the Cubbies on this this trip.Bottom Line for us…. Finish out strong…. win the games we need to win
and clinch the Division on our own.Top of the eight…. Brewers ahead 10-1 over the Pirates.
Looks like the Pirates finish out the season at home.
The best thing their owners could do right now is open the
gates for FREE, for all their remaining games. Might as well
offer free Beer… free food and free everything… to be able
to put any fans in the stands. In fact… for the season ticket holders…. show your season
ticket at the gate and get a refund for each game that they
attend.Well… the Sunday Blue uniforms made the Cub’s fans sing the Blues today.
Hope we can get a sweep out of this. I’m just really amazed that we’ve won
the first three. So happy that we have…. just wasn’t expecting it.Good Evening,
I subscribed to this forum, just to ask a question that may have been
asked previously.I am watching the Pirates game on Saturday night, Sept. 7th.
Whenever the pitcher throws a strike…. there is someone in the
background audio that say’s…. eeeerrrrgggggIt could be a fan near an open mic…. it could be a fan near the
broadcast booth… where it is being picked up.It tends to happen a whole lot… whenever the Cardinals play the Brewers,
at the Brewers stadium.Does anyone else ever hear this? It is very very annoying during the game.
Tonight… it doesn’t matter if its the Cards that are pitching… or the
Pirates that are pitching…. they do it for both teams. So what about it? Has anyone else heard it… and do you know who it is?
