On a good note from Tuesday night.
The Cubs were one out away from a 4-3 win at Arizona when Waldschmidt jacks a 2-run dong for the win. 5-4 Arizona your happy final.
Weather wise all is clear in the greater downtown metro St. Louis area. And the Doppler Radar shows nothing the rest of the evening as well.
Smooth sailing for this one tonight folks.
Weather wise all looks fine at this point for tonight’s clash with the other birds. There is, however, a storm cell in central Kansas as I type this according to the Doppler Radar. But I don’t expect it to be a factor in the St. Louis area.
Then again, we are six hours from first pitch…….
That’s twice in six days that the Redbirds had the lead with two outs in the 9th and lost the game.
I hope O’Brien isn’t going to make a habit of this.
Then again, Bruce Sutter did blow around 8-9 saves in his big 1984 season.
On a good note……
The Cubs were one out away in the bottom of the 9th at Seattle.

5-4 Mariners your happy final.Cubs lose another game to Milwaukee.
Dang, I just watched the replay of the ball Fermin missed.
I bet Dane Myers would have hauled that one in..:)
Well Pugs, I am shaking off Jasper’s disappointing loss to Evansville Memorial last night. 48-14 was your unhappy final there.
And as I type this there is some green stuff just south of the greater metro Philadelpia area. Having said that, we are over four hours away from first pitch and there doesn’t appear to be much behind this cell just south of Philly.
I believe you will be able to see Matthews pitch. But remember, he’s facing a formidable lineup in a hitters park. And a team that has won seven (7) in a row.
And din-din today will be a Hungry Man’s Fried Chicken dinner with an ice cold slushy Mt. Dew. Then a big bowl of Turkey Hill Homemade Vanilla ice cream.

Nothing like those late night west coast games. My favorite games of the year. And even if it’s not the Cards or Reds out west watching other games is also a good thing. Love watching games from Doyer Stadium.
Speaking of which, the Reds are in San Francisco next week. And the Redbirds still have to go to Doyer Stadium this year.

Things look fine and dandy from the meteorological standpoint in Philadelphia for this one. The Doppler Radar shows nothing in the area. However, first pitch is still three hours away.
It’s another CCFF!
Cardinals Catfish Fiddler Friday. I’ll be dining on them this afternoon out at the Amish restaurant on the lake. Then a 7×50 Palma Real Presidente cigar out on the benches in the patio area.Oh, and high school football starts tonight. It will be the Evansville Memorial Tigers at the Jasper Wildcats. Should be a dandy. Memorial has beat Jasper the last two years.
And Bruihl will be key in this series. Schwarber, Harper, Marsh, somebody has to hold those lefties down.

And now the bases are loaded.
A single to the outfield and it’s a tie game.
Bullpen is melting down.
I just now saw it on Facebook.
A fly to fairly deep left center and he was there and SHOULD have caught it. No doubt. Off his glove and two runs scored.
Then the flood gates opened.
What happened 1td???
I didn’t see it. I’m following the gamecast on Yahoo.
6-5 Redbirds in the top of the 9th.
What, no posters following today’s game?
Still 4-0 in the last of the 4th now.
And din-din today will be a Ribeye steak on the grill with some mashed potatoes, an ice cold slushy Mt. Dew, and a bowl of Turkey Hill Vanilla Bean ice cream.
And yes, Whitey Herdog will get a few bites of the Ribeye..:)
Fenton Walker just slammed a 3-run dong.
4-0 Redbirds in the top of the 3rd.
Can McGillicuddy hold them from here???
