Oh gscottar you have talked to Stanton personally?
If not stop with the garbage of him going to dodgers or staying in Miami and posting it as facts!
Because lets face it if they want a big power bat, Staton is plan A, B C and D!
Problem is nothing else is getting done because of this it seems either. When / if this finally gets resolved there are going to be a lot of domino’s fall in a short amount of time…just hoping Cards have a backup plan in place other than throw trash at the wall to hope it sticks.
If Stanton does call their bluff and Jeter does not seem the type to go back on his word he is sure going to enjoy losing 100+ games in Miami and if he is ok with that then he needs to do what he needs to do, but Miami is not going to give him away just so he can go where he wants that would literally kill their franchise.
PRoblem is if the giants trade all those guys even with getting stanton they will be bad this year as they were last year and he doesn’t want to be apart of that
Giants have no prospects worth a crap, they can’t eat all the $$ without trading 1/2 their team or having a huge tax on it…don’t get it from their stand point
I dunno Gscottar, i don’t really see any of those bats you want helping us really much at all, as i don’t think Yelich gets moved period…COazrt ugh,,, Simmons ehh…Hosmer bleh and Bruce no way no now…
Big bat is what the Cards need and none of those options you offered are that at all
If the Cards don’t get Martinez or Stanton as they as of right now are the only 2 BIG bat options out there things are going to get real UGLY for the cards front office, and it should!
Biggest thing I see happening is all these people saying Stanton to STL makes the most sense is getting alot of cardinal fans excited, and there is going to be ALOT of po’d fans when he ends up going somewhere else and it will just be another example of MO saying well we tried we just finished second crap.
I disagree that NIcasio, MOrrow or Swarak are better options thatn Holland, they might be cheaper, but better no.
Really to bad on Rosey he was a great pitcher for us even if some were to blinded by hate to see it…

I am sure whoever they sign for either will be just brought up from internally or be low hanging fruit, they won’t go get anybody major.
Yeah can tell the Nats want to get past the first round and figure coach had 2 years to do it and didn’t…
while the cards are ok with a below average coach in MM getting worse every year….big difference in franchise goals!
