I like andujar or hays from your list and I would add Rhys Hoskins, he can play left field as well as backup 1st.

Dustin May’s deal with the St. Louis Cardinals is official, sources tell ESPN. He will make $12.5 million this year, and the mutual option for the 2027 season is for $20 million.December 15, 2025 at 5:10 pm in reply to: Trade Ideas/Acquisition Ideas/Non-Cards Rumors β 2024-2026 #297657Yes, left field and 3B is what he listed as playing but not sure about his defense.

December 14, 2025 at 9:17 am in reply to: Trade Ideas/Acquisition Ideas/Non-Cards Rumors β 2024-2026 #297526I like that better as well but would take either scenario, as long as we get 2 prospects of those levels we will do well for Donny.
December 13, 2025 at 4:03 pm in reply to: Trade Ideas/Acquisition Ideas/Non-Cards Rumors β 2024-2026 #297457Not worried about his era last year just the fact he started 23 games is good. He had TJ surgery 2 or 3 years ago and is finally somewhat healthy. He will dominate this season and bloom will look like a genius.
December 13, 2025 at 3:49 pm in reply to: Trade Ideas/Acquisition Ideas/Non-Cards Rumors β 2024-2026 #297451What a great move, now 6 young pitchers to compete and make each other better. I am counting Pallante fingers crossed. Go cards! May stays healthy he would be a great asset.
December 11, 2025 at 1:25 pm in reply to: Trade Ideas/Acquisition Ideas/Non-Cards Rumors β 2024-2026 #297336That makes sense. Seems like they need to or want to get at least 1 MLB ready pitcher in the trade for Donovan. Kansas City seems the best trade option with that scenario.
December 11, 2025 at 12:53 pm in reply to: Trade Ideas/Acquisition Ideas/Non-Cards Rumors β 2024-2026 #297334Would Seattle trade Byran Woo for Donovan and Jimmy Crooks? If so, let’s do it.
December 10, 2025 at 9:53 am in reply to: Trade Ideas/Acquisition Ideas/Non-Cards Rumors β 2024-2026 #297242Rhys Hoskins or Miguel Andujar platoon them with one of our many lefty OF’s
December 6, 2025 at 4:29 pm in reply to: Trade Ideas/Acquisition Ideas/Non-Cards Rumors β 2024-2026 #297060What’s everyone think about signing zach Efflin to a 2-3 yr contract for 17 mil per year. Some experience with some upside left in him.
December 3, 2025 at 11:32 am in reply to: Trade Ideas/Acquisition Ideas/Non-Cards Rumors β 2024-2026 #296909I could see him getting a 2 year 10-12 million contract or 5-6 million per year. Cardinals need to pay about 70-75% of the amount he’s owed to get a lottery prospect, but I assume their main goal is to shed him while saving as much as is possible vs getting any kind of return. They have Donovan, Contreras and Romero to get some more valuable prospects or ready to go major leaguers. I’m excited to see who they get in FA after they trade who they plan to trade. Go Cards!
October 22, 2025 at 1:41 pm in reply to: Trade Ideas/Acquisition Ideas/Non-Cards Rumors β 2024-2026 #294715Yeah, they may not but they could financially, if they off load Arenado’s salary they would be even money after paying 25 million to king or someone like him and still under budget from last season which was around 130 million, I think.
Why not keep Gray and add another #2 or 3 guy which as much as I love Gray, that’s what he is as well today. They would fill it out with Libby, McGreevy and maybe Quinn Mathews or Pallante if he figures his sh** out before season starts but that would be a solid rotation and pray Weatherholt hits the majors like he has the last 2 levels, and we will more than contend for a wild card.
Glass half full kind of guy here when it comes to 2 birds on a bat. π
And I trust Bloom will look high and low for the best value when it comes to pitching whether that is in Japan or sitting in triple a in Boston or Tampa.
October 22, 2025 at 1:00 pm in reply to: Trade Ideas/Acquisition Ideas/Non-Cards Rumors β 2024-2026 #294695I am on board with LA’s 4 as well for a 1 year. Is the series over yet? I’m ready for some moves!!
October 22, 2025 at 12:33 pm in reply to: Trade Ideas/Acquisition Ideas/Non-Cards Rumors β 2024-2026 #294688Good point, def wanting to go in a higher ceiling direction than our man Mikolas. Guess I’m nostalgic and hope Jack has another year of dominance in him. π
It’s my opinion that even if they off don’t off load Arenado they can still afford to sign a Gallen or King to a 20-25 million a year 3-to-4-year contract. We need to hire at least 1 mid to upper arm either through trade or FA. And I believe Bloom will. Quinn Mathews and then the real stud Liam Doyle are just around the corner. Stay strong cardinal faithful.
October 22, 2025 at 11:37 am in reply to: Trade Ideas/Acquisition Ideas/Non-Cards Rumors β 2024-2026 #294681They need inexpensive bats and to offload Flaherty’s 20 million if he does not opt out himself if they want to try and keep Skubal, if they dont then they can get all they need from that trade i suppose.
October 19, 2025 at 3:08 pm in reply to: Trade Ideas/Acquisition Ideas/Non-Cards Rumors β 2024-2026 #294535Trade noot and gorman to tigers for Flaherty.
Free agent SP, zac gallen or Michael King if arenados salary is off loaded plus mikolas 18 million is going away. If trade gray try to sign gallen and another 29-30 year old mid rotation guy vs just 1. Maybe King or Efflin
Tyler Mahle, Dustin May, griffin canning or maybe take a chance on Jordan Montgomery. Most of these guys are fairly inexpensive with decent ceilings and short term commitment if they suck an egg.
