After a 4 for 5 night with a HR, a double and 2 RBI, the great Pujols is up to .244 and a pt. above the Big League avg. which is .243. I know that because Pugs looked it up! GO REDBIRDS!
Black Hills…Ha ha! I don’t hate him, but I’d think three times before I ever placed the baseball in his hand.
Ha ha, Pugs…It’s funny now! That home half of the 9th was a protracted waterboarding session…Sheesh!
Anyway, the good guys prevailed. GO REDBIRDS!Hey Pugs…I thought they might get some work for the call up. Why not take a look at him? Maybe he pitched down at Memphis recently. At any rate, I’m with you on your Pallante observation.
Hey, Pugs…I’m with you insofar as I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen Paulie swing the bat this well. If he can maintain somewhere close to what he’s put on display thus far, the Cardinals are going to see some impressive offensive production from the SS position down the stretch run. He’s ripping up the baseball.
Hey Willie…He’s got more than a good chance to catch and surpass Stan for career TB’s. He now sits at 6117 and needs just 17 to tie Musial. I think he’ll do it. Wouldn’t it be something if he ended his career tied with Stan at 6117? I think that would be outstanding.
Yeah Pugs…Along with the 12 K’s in 656 PA’s he finished up at .322/28/124 and still placed 3rd in the 1950 AL MVP vote. He was awared the AL MVP the following year. His first of 3 AL MVP awards. Lawrence could hit.
