Just so pathetic in these situations. Bader turns a 2-0 count into a K. Now JMart is pinch hitting and he hasn’t done anything in forever it seems. Why not try one of the young guys?

Despite what people may have levied against Matheny, Shildt is so much more tied to his veterans. Rookies are strictly for pinch running. /Eye roll
Brutal offensive performance today.
1. Would anyone else had pinch hit for Bader? He seems to be dropping off again offensively.
2. Is Martinez fully recovered? He seemed to cringe after that first big swing.Miller was awesome and efficient in the 8th. Does Shildt roll the calendar back a few years and let him close it?

well 1964cards bader was one of the guys that actually produced yesterday in the same situation. im not making an excuse for him there, he has to make contact with one out but he didn’t there. but hes not the only one to do that today.
