CC, I can turn that around and ask why you think Nogowski should be of such interest to the Cards now? They have Luken Baker to play first at Memphis and also have Yepez behind Goldy. How many guys do they need who can only play first?

NogowskiI put my money on Nogowski having the best chance tô make a positive Major league contribution. Yepez and Baker may have more upside. You also have tô factor in the DH.
Nogowski is almost past his ML prime. He’ll be 29 years old in a few weeks. His best chance to make it in this game may be that as a coach.
I wonder if nogowski actually bad the best chance of making a major league contribution, why has he been dealt around a bunch now. Could so many teams be wrong.

Ponce is one of those guys with great stuff, but poor command. If he can learn how to throw consistent strikes, he might be one of those “got away” guys we regret giving up on. But that fracas he had with Molina, combined with poor results was the end of the line for him here.
