Tommy might become a non tender candidate

He is likely lining up an interview where he can blame it on the Cardinals.

Now Bader and Mercado are even – each sent down once. Bader was down for a few weeks. We will have to watch Mercado’s situation.

Another Cardinal home-grown player who did not receive a long-term offer…

What if they didn’t have Trout and Rendon (and Merlot Joe)? Albert Pujols’ current .625 OPS is 300 points below his career average. He hasn’t had an OPS over .800 since his first year in Anaheim. That was nine years ago…

Ramon Urias (a CC favorite) is making his first MLB start at 2B tonight for the Orioles.

Good luck to Patrick. He’s hung in there far longer than many have.

Ryan Sherriff was selected by TB today.

To the Sherriff point, the Rays have seven members of their bullpen on the IL. Regular injuries have to be way up across MLB this year.

Good for Rosey going to the Padres. They are a real playoff contender.

I figured the Cubs would get him.

The return for KC is Edward Oliveras a 24 year old outfielder ranked #33 in the Padres system, and a PTBNL.

Watch Jmart hit .500 with 3 HRs against us the rest of the year.

Good on Randy Arozarena for getting more PT now. I always liked him as a player.

I agree stl25. He will probably roast us.

It will be interesting to see who the PTBNL’s are. JMart still has two more years of control left after this year so I would assume the Rays would receive something decent from the Cubs.

Martinez’ OPS+ last year with StL was 98. This year with TB it is 99. He has turned into an MLB-average player. That is way down from his 171, 134, 124 marks in his first three years, which is what many seem to recall and expect. He is currently 32 years of age.

I for one would not mind seeing Lance Lynn once again with the birds on the bat.

Luke Voit has nailed down those Nu Yawk Yanky fans with his 13 home runs, 301 BA and 1.072 OPS. Good thing we got Goldy (at a somewhat higher price); otherwise, we would be whining mightily.

Lynn has been great with the Rangers. Despite his Bartolo Colon physique and Carp like beard he has put up great numbers on a consistent basis. I think he has 30 consecutive games with 100 pitches thrown.
