Tommy might become a non tender candidate
He is likely lining up an interview where he can blame it on the Cardinals.

August 17, 2020 at 2:37 pm #135558Now Bader and Mercado are even – each sent down once. Bader was down for a few weeks. We will have to watch Mercado’s situation.
August 20, 2020 at 8:17 am #135994Another Cardinal home-grown player who did not receive a long-term offer…
Lance Lynn has now thrown 100 pitches or more in 30 consecutive games.
The only longer streaks in the Wild Card Era:
Felix Hernandez went 32 in a row in 2009-10.
Randy Johnson went 38 in a row in 1998-99.
And Justin Verlander went 80 (holy smokes) in a row from 2010-12. https://t.co/ZCxYkBznMV

August 22, 2020 at 7:25 am #136330What if they didn’t have Trout and Rendon (and Merlot Joe)? Albert Pujols’ current .625 OPS is 300 points below his career average. He hasn’t had an OPS over .800 since his first year in Anaheim. That was nine years ago…
The Angels are on pace to finish 24 games out of first place in a 60-game season.

August 22, 2020 at 7:39 pm #136430Ramon Urias (a CC favorite) is making his first MLB start at 2B tonight for the Orioles.
August 22, 2020 at 11:43 pm #136516Good for him!
August 23, 2020 at 1:10 am #136518After his start tonight, @zacgallen23 has tied the @MLB record with 21 games allowing 3 or fewer earned runs to start his career. 🔥 pic.twitter.com/uXEYDokCcz

August 23, 2020 at 7:06 pm #136636bccranParticipantGood luck to Patrick. He’s hung in there far longer than many have.
August 24, 2020 at 7:21 pm #136710Adalberto Mejia released by the White Sox.
White Sox say they released Bryan Mitchell and Adalberto Mejía, and have added Kodi Medeiros and Danny Dopico to the Schaumburg site

August 26, 2020 at 5:41 pm #136950Ryan Sherriff was selected by TB today.
August 26, 2020 at 6:31 pm #136954To the Sherriff point, the Rays have seven members of their bullpen on the IL. Regular injuries have to be way up across MLB this year.
August 26, 2020 at 10:22 pm #137008Sheriff got the win in their game tonight.
August 29, 2020 at 3:13 pm #137460August 29, 2020 at 3:17 pm #137461Good for Rosey going to the Padres. They are a real playoff contender.
I figured the Cubs would get him.
August 29, 2020 at 6:53 pm #137557The return for KC is Edward Oliveras a 24 year old outfielder ranked #33 in the Padres system, and a PTBNL.
August 29, 2020 at 7:41 pm #137564As one would expect…
Couldn’t be more thankful for my time with @Royals. First class organization top to bottom. I’m forever a better person from my time spent with these individuals. Nothing but the best wishes for everyone!! Thank you.

August 30, 2020 at 11:13 am #137607JMart to the Cubs…
Designated hitter Jose Martinez has been traded to the Chicago Cubs, sources tell ESPN. Two PTBNLs headed back to Tampa Bay. The Cubs get a lefty masher and the Rays now may get to give more ABs to Randy Arozarena, whom they acquired with Martinez in a trade this offseason.

August 30, 2020 at 11:31 am #137610Watch Jmart hit .500 with 3 HRs against us the rest of the year.
Good on Randy Arozarena for getting more PT now. I always liked him as a player.
August 30, 2020 at 12:12 pm #137631I agree stl25. He will probably roast us.
It will be interesting to see who the PTBNL’s are. JMart still has two more years of control left after this year so I would assume the Rays would receive something decent from the Cubs.
August 30, 2020 at 12:18 pm #137636Martinez’ OPS+ last year with StL was 98. This year with TB it is 99. He has turned into an MLB-average player. That is way down from his 171, 134, 124 marks in his first three years, which is what many seem to recall and expect. He is currently 32 years of age.
August 31, 2020 at 3:14 pm #137870Non-news for this ex-Cardinal…
Lance Lynn is not being traded by the #Rangers
— Joel Sherman (@Joelsherman1) August 31, 2020
September 1, 2020 at 11:38 am #138096I for one would not mind seeing Lance Lynn once again with the birds on the bat.
Luke Voit has nailed down those Nu Yawk Yanky fans with his 13 home runs, 301 BA and 1.072 OPS. Good thing we got Goldy (at a somewhat higher price); otherwise, we would be whining mightily.
September 1, 2020 at 2:15 pm #138112Lynn has been great with the Rangers. Despite his Bartolo Colon physique and Carp like beard he has put up great numbers on a consistent basis. I think he has 30 consecutive games with 100 pitches thrown.
