It’s become entirely clear that this Toronto team has no intention of going quietly. The Dodgers look a little surprised that the Blue Jays have the audacity to counterpunch. It looks to me like they had better get accustomed to it.
Schneider taking no chances with Godzilla as he goes out and gets Max and hands the baseball to the lefty.
And the monster laces one into the LCF gap for the RBI double to make it a 1 run game with Betts standing in with an RBI chance. Good game so far.
And Toronto hits back again in the form of a 1 out RBI base hit from Bichette to lift the Blue Jays to a 5-4 lead. This game’s taking on the look of Ali/Frazier #1.
Godzilla stands in and promptly rips a game tying HR over the wall in LCF. He’s destroying Tokyo…er…uhh…Toronto.
Or maybe they should try to pitch Ohtani without catching so much of the plate. Just like the 1-2 pitch earlier when Freeman drove in a run to tie it at 4-4. The Jay’s pitchers are showing us what wild in the strike zone is.
Little Eddie somewhat atones for the 4th inning E-4 with the nice play to throw out Felefa at 3B for the 2nd out of the 9th.
Here comes Godzilla to stand in for the Dodgers in the 9th. Can’t IBB him with Betts and Freddie looming.
On to the 11th we go as we don’t get the benefit of Manfred’s ingenious method of absolutely ruining the intense heart pounding atmosphere that’s created in the extra innings of a high stakes baseball game.
There’s more than a decent chance that Godzilla will stand in for a PA in this 11th inning, but Schneider has made it clear that he has no intention of allowing the the monster to beat his team with his atomic heat beam…IBB the monster and live to fight another day.
Big Freddie’s been quiet as he lifts a lazy fly ball to LF for the final out of the 11th inning. On to the 12th.
And Little Eddie represents the winning run as he leads off the home half of the 13th with a double.
