Toronto traveled Saturday night. LA traveled on Sunday and had a workout that afternoon.

I think using 2 planes is a good idea, Rat. There’s something to be said about not putting all of your eggs in one basket. I’d put half of my starting position players and half of the pitchers on one plane and the other half of players on another plane. Split up the managers and coaching staff too. I would even go as far as splitting up the announcers as well. The owners and sports writers can hop on any plane they want, as let’s face it, they’re expendable. I do it with my daughter and 2 grandchildren, whom often travel from Wisconsin to Michigan via plane. I NEVER let all 3 travel together.
But it sounded to me like the Doyers were taking commercial flights?
I assumed they have their own plane(s)?
The planes are chartered from commercial airlines. That is not unusual. What is unusual is that they have two. The players get their own and everyone else is on the other plane.
The Dodgers apparently have the money. One plane is a 757 and the other is a 737. Keeping players happy must be important to them. Certainly, the guys have room to spread out. 😉
According to this article the Dodgers used FOUR planes to carry their traveling party of 400.
For the World Series games in Toronto, which the two teams split, the Dodgers carried a traveling party of about 400 people spread across four planes. The players fly on their own plane, which left Toronto after the game on Saturday and arrived in Los Angeles without incident. Roberts, the coaches and the rest of the staff did not depart until Sunday morning.

Traveling from town-to-town by train must have been a blast. The Wild Turkey and late night poker games would have been almost better than the actual ballgames. I wonder what year they switched to air travel? And of course our present day minor league teams mostly travel by bus……probably Greyhound. It wouldn’t shock me if the Pirates still ferried their team via bus to close locations like Philadelphia and Cleveland. Yes the Dodgers are spoiled rotten…….and it just may cost them the 2025 World Series trophy.
Tonight is one of those rare occasions when all four of the major professional sports in this country (MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL) all have games on the same night.
Tonight’s Scherzer/Glasnow pitching matchup seems to favor the Dodgers, but Max has a tendency to work on high octane adrenaline which has a way of producing some pretty good results as witnessed by his last turn on the road in Seattle during the ALCS. I wouldn’t discount the 41 yr. old mad man.

Max works around the Ohtani lead-off double to escape the 1st inning unscathed. Max may be getting on in years, but he don’t rattle too easliy. I think Schneider made a wise decision when he opted to hand Scherzer the baseball for this all important game 3 for the Blue Jays at Dodger Stadium.
Max with a bad mistake slider that T. Hernandez easily yanks over the LF wall to lift the Dodgers to an early 1-0 lead.
Wong at 1B, haha, good one 1td. Man o man, you can’t leave your brain in the dugout when you’re running the bases.
Now Max lays one into Godzilla’s wheel house and the monster makes him pay with a solo tater over the RF wall to lift the Dodgers to a 2-0 lead in 3rd inning.
Yeah Euro, everyone has their fair share of senior moments but when it’s the WS it’s best to at least drink a lot of coffee.
