    Paid - Annual

Burly is having a nice Spring, and with some attrition it looks like he will be around opening day. Maybe a chance for him to make it tough to send him out later.

Gibson and Lynn not exactly reminding anyone of the prior “Gibson and Lynn (McGlothen)” – anyone remember that guy? Not a star but a decent starter back in the ‘70s.

Mautz got the last out in the 1st, then it looks like Lynn returned to the game in the second. Cards up 5-4.

It pains me a bit when people call Kyle Gibson “Gibby”.

Thanks to strong relief pitching, the Cards won 7-5. Interestingly, Thompson pitched the final 2 2/3 innings without giving up a hit.

Scott, Saggese and Siani had two hits apiece.

Oops. Thanks. I guess I didn’t refresh my Gameday. I had problems all evening trying to get the audio working. Cards are 5-6-2 on the spring.

Lynn got ejected in his first outing? By Angel Hernandez?

Does this mean Angel Hernandez is back in the big leagues again???

    Oh boy……

Looks like we could score some runs once we get our everyday lineup out there. Heal up boys. Wish I could have seen Lynn.

The little harmless dog barking like crazy on the porch gets the same look from all of us. Same look Lance gives to Angel Hernandez. Too funny 😂

Crawford in the three hole. I guess they just want to see the max plate appearances from him.

I see Matz got lit up in the first inning. There is a pattern obviously.

I usually don’t pay much attention to ST stats, good or bad, but Matz getting lit up is nothing new.

Through seven we have two hits and struck out 9 times. Jeesh.

It looks like all the regulars are out of the game. Maybe giving some guys a last hurrah before shipping out to the back fields.

Now Robberse is getting his head handed to him. I guess he will be joining Kloffenstein.

There is less than 3 weeks left in ST. This year’s breakout better get cracking.

Hey I deserve credit for still being awake in the bottom of the ninth of a 9-0 Azzwhuppin. And I’m rewarded with a big fly from Saggesse.

If things start off bad they should just tank for the other Holliday kid that is likely the 1st pick in 2025

I don’t see a lot of hope for optimism…the offense looks to be about as dreadful as the starting pitching

The offense should be the same as last year since its the same guys. We will have zero situational ability and be real good at padding stats when it doesn’t matter. I think MLB knows that today’s fans just want to see homers and don’t care if its 3-2 or 8-1.

So far this Spring I’m not seeing much good pitching, offense, or fielding.
Other than that, though, it looks like a nice bunch of guys, lol

    Is Noot the new Bader?

    Is Noot the new Bader?

So far it looks exactly like that. 117 games last year. Out again now.

Durability is a concern beyond Noot. Whenever Carlson gets a chance in the spotlight he seems to get hurt. Donovan and Edman both failed to tolerate daily use. We have yet to find out how Gorman and Walker will hold up to a full slate of MLB games.

FWIW, Gorman had injury issues last year, too. But again, MLB injury data I’ve seen shows the Cards do not stand out compared to other teams. We are just more familiar with the details for the team we follow closest. It is always that way. Fans believe their team is more snakebitten than others. Familiarity bias can run both positive and negative.

A change in the order. Graceffo to start with Rom as piggyback. Roby is scheduled to make his return today, too. Game will be televised on BSM.
