Apparently Carlson’s issue is shoulder not legs.
March 25, 2024 at 9:10 pm #244957You’re very welcome, Mud!
I would be shocked if Carlson’s injury is substantial, resulting in significant time off. If you carefully watch the replay, one can see the impact he sustained in relation to where or how he landed, would not normally lead to major injury. But, yes, some people are injury prone. And some people just inherently know how to fall. Take Brett Favre. That guy could get belted by speeding 280 lb. attackers from every angle imaginable…….and still not miss a beat…..or a play. I think Dylan Carlson is probably not one of these fortunate individuals.

ParticipantI watched that play over and over. It looks like Carlson hit the ground on his shoulder, but if he is out for any length of time he is very brittle. I’m guessing he plays on Thursday.

March 26, 2024 at 12:00 pm #244994No word on Carlson yet.
I know that everyone is freaking out about Goldy but if you believe in ST stats then the looks of those batting averages in the above posted lineup should have you worried about several players.
March 26, 2024 at 12:18 pm #244997To that end, I just posted this:
With one spring game remaining, the #stlcards offense ranks 24th of 30 MLB teams with a .694 OPS. Team ERA of 4.61 is 16th.

March 26, 2024 at 1:07 pm #245006In conclusion, the offense and starting pitching have been poor, but the relievers have been solid.
Starters' ERA of 5.84 is 27th, but #stlcards relievers' 3.89 ERA ranks a strong seventh. https://t.co/kuW3zsX8ad

March 26, 2024 at 1:25 pm #245012Nine minor leaguers are with the #stlcards in Mesa, AZ. On Monday, IFs RJ Yeager and Jacob Buchberger and RP Matt Svanson contributed to the win. Others are OFs Mike Antico and Nathan Church plus RPs Brandon Komar, Andrew Marrero, Edwin Nunez and Wilfredo Pereira.

March 26, 2024 at 3:58 pm #245029Not much patience from the hitters today. I guess they realize it is the last day of camp.
March 26, 2024 at 4:11 pm #245030Yeah, they may be as weary of ST’ing as I am. Time to get out of there and situate for genuine action.
