That lineup looks dominant. We just need to keep the pitching pipeline maintained and moving. Seems like a long shot, but there’s still the possibility of Dejong moving to 2B and Lindor taking over at SS. I think Cleveland is going to move him this offseason, maybe even before the trade deadline if there is one. (There’s also that middle infield sleeper in the DSL and that other middle infield sleeper that we pick up later today.)
Today is interesting to me because I am following both the Cardinal picks(6) and Carolina players/signees(5).

Some decline in high schoolers taken, but actually one more than last year. The trend downward was less than I expected. Teams are not listening to bccran! 😉
MLB draft: 19 of the first 50 picks were high school players, just the 2nd time in the past 12 seasons that fewer than 20 of the first 50 picks were prep players (18 in 2019).

I’m dumbfounded. A high school SS rated #54 when Martin a SS from Arkansas was available? Who was ranked #30?
Sounds like another high ceiling guy, and the pick came in very quickly again. Sounds like the Cards are aiming for the moon early in this draft and hoping to pluck a star with the low amount of picks.
