In the third, Carlson did not miss it this time. 3-1 Cards.
September 24, 2020 at 8:53 pm #141679
stlcard25ParticipantBurnes is injured. Not good for him or the Brewers.
September 24, 2020 at 8:53 pm #141680Sore back I think. Was getting massage there between innings.
September 24, 2020 at 8:54 pm #141681What a turn of events here. Carlson goes deep then Burnes, who is a cy young candidate, leaves with an injury.
September 24, 2020 at 8:54 pm #141682Boom! Carlson!
He’s going to be a modern day Chipper Jones. I’ll take it.
Go Cards.
September 24, 2020 at 8:55 pm #141683It is amazing on how different Carlson looks since the “re-set.”
Confidence is a great thing.
September 24, 2020 at 8:57 pm #141684Must have been those shrimp sautéed in butter doing the work tonight! Thanks Cardinal in France!
September 24, 2020 at 9:02 pm #141685Shildt is playing with fire with Kim.
September 24, 2020 at 9:08 pm #141686
jj-cf-stlParticipanthe’s also looking for hard pitches now. burned by the changeup and goes yard on the cutter. i like his approach better now.
September 24, 2020 at 9:11 pm #141687
stlcard25ParticipantI’d take Kim out here. Ryan “trash bin” Braun always kills us.
September 24, 2020 at 9:12 pm #141688He shouldn’t have even started the inning.
September 24, 2020 at 9:15 pm #141689
stlcard25ParticipantWhew. Got out of that one. Let’s get some offense going here again.
September 24, 2020 at 9:15 pm #141690KK looked very happy stranding two.
September 24, 2020 at 9:20 pm #141691If I have to select the 2020 Cardinal regular season MVP this coming Monday, I tab Kim, without batting an eye.
September 24, 2020 at 9:22 pm #141692
stlcard25ParticipantTwo more base runners…the first two again here in the 5th. C’mon Yadi…drive em home.
September 24, 2020 at 9:24 pm #141693Not to mention they need to protect the pen…
A lot of second guessing about keeping Kim in this game. I like the move. Kim deserves it and needs to be able to pitch in tight situations if the #stlcards play in October. This tweet may age badly quickly though.

jj-cf-stlParticipantimagine if we hadn’t added KK and B Miller
September 24, 2020 at 9:26 pm #141695Did that pitch that Molina popped up bounce before he hit it? Maybe it was my eyes as Yardley is a real sidewinder.
Yet another RISP opportunity wasted in the fifth… This thing ain’t over…
September 24, 2020 at 9:30 pm #141696
stlcard25Participant1st and 2nd with no one out has a runs expectancy of 1.35 with a 62% chance of scoring at least 1. That’s…3 times the Cards have had that situation now, with no runs. To be fair, they did score one run on that spot in the 3rd. Still, with any sort of situational hitting this could be a 6-1 game. As is, the Cards are 1-12 with RISP.
September 24, 2020 at 9:33 pm #141697
jj-cf-stlParticipantand situational base running adds another run
September 24, 2020 at 9:40 pm #141699Gallegos is back to his normal self. We need to have him ready to get back to ninth inning duty before the playoffs start.
September 24, 2020 at 9:44 pm #141700Oh what I wouldn’t give for a Carly long one here.
September 24, 2020 at 9:46 pm #141701bccran
ParticipantLooks like Carlson is catching on.
September 24, 2020 at 9:46 pm #141702
stlcard25ParticipantCarlson is looking locked in at the plate. Would be good to have he and Fowler as the two freshest guys in the lineup to carry us a bit here.
September 24, 2020 at 9:48 pm #141703I think the kid has found his groove…..which is very groovy…..man.
Peace
