I think we should offer this package for Montas

    Liberatore
Noot or Yepez (if he can be traded)
    Baker or Nunez
    Walsh or Pacheco
    Woodford or Thomas

Oakland needs some power bats and starter options. We are going to have some 40 man issues next year.

I like the move for Romero. He has a very good fastball. He just needs a better slider or change. If and that’s an if… the staff can help him refine a breaking ball and improve his change, then we may have salvaged a good prospect. He can bring it. Remember him from spring training.

I think another trade option for pitching may be the Braves. They just lost another outfielder. Maybe move O’Neill for one of their young starting pitchers (have a bunch) and bullpen help.

I would be, but they need bullpen help as they can’t seem to hold leads and some outfield help. I don’t know how much we can help them there….. Maybe an O’Neill, Yepez, DeJong, Fernandez, and Pacheco for Bogaerts and Plawecki. I see our deal as a help them to win now and some future.

I think they ought to send a package to Oakland for their catcher Jeff Murphy and Montas, rather than pursue Soto.

Why was it necessary to spend money over slot on Rajcic? His offerings are pretty average at best? Why not take a run at the high school kid?

I agree! Interesting draft none the less. I like the potential of the pitching picks. Some interesting projects.

I’ve always been intrigued by the international signings and scouting as that is a big to this fan to see into the future. I appreciate the articles and can only request more as info is scarce. I haven’t seen much on the young Italian signing as far as how hard he throws and his arsenal.

with Oakland needing a first baseman, is Yepez/Nootbar + package a possibility for an Oakland Pitcher?

How did Trent Baker manage to get a Spring training invitation as a NRI? Wasn’t he just drafted in the 9th round? I didn’t see many of the other higher profile picks get invited.

cardinals were linked to Reimi Garcia from Cuba. Has there been any progress or is he leaning to another team?
