Martinez does better at RF than at 1B. I still wouldn’t want him anywhere but as DH. NL no DH then bye senor Martinez.
Because O’Neill is much better defender than Martinez and runs way faster. He can change the game with one swing and his OPS is almost identical to Martinez. .811 to .808 that’s why you put O’Neill over Martinez. The one that I hope is not with the team next year is Martinez.
All doing well in the AL. I can’t wait for the NL to have the DH. They are all good hitters less than great on defense. We had too many of those. We kept Martinez maybe keeping Pham was a better choice. I always liked Piscotty a lot but his trade has help him be a better player I am very happy for him. As for Voit we have Matt Adams!!! Who knows but by not having a DH in the NL trades like these will keep happening. Let’s be separate but equal bring on the DH! and the end of the day I will always blame signing Fowler. I hated it from day one and it has had horrible repercussions in the outfield and in making some of these trades.
I do not have problems with the shift. You should be able to position your defenders as you please. My question would be what will indicate when position becomes an illegal shift.
I agree on Garcia and Adams not getting a start again. I would have no problem with O’Neill instead of Martinez a couple of times or late in games. No Munoz either.
That’s a nice OBP for Wong. Carp needs more days off. But today off and tomorrow off day should help him.
