I imagine if the Cardinals cannot get Willis signed, they should have enough to sign Casserilla.

But I think the Cardinals took Willis with a predefined bonus like they work out with others before making the pick. They usually work the cap pool very well.

Do we have further confirmation on the bonus for Graceffo?

300k per Callis and Spotrac signing makes more sense than 500k per MLB draft tracker…

Adolis Garcia put up good numbers at AAA. 32 HR’s… I know they are saying the ball is a factor.

    Randy Arozarena great numbers.

It just seems there is something the Cardinals do not like about these two…

And maybe to a lesser degree Tyler O’Neill…

And add in Bader… He is Gold Glove worthy. Is this year just a slump or can he hit well enough to play everyday. I think we need to determine who can play so we know what we have going forward. Fowler, just because he makes alot, does not deserve to play over more talented players. All of those players listed are better than Fowler. By playing Fowler you are just doubling the problem of signing him. Pay hit fine, but don’t exacerbate the problem by playing your 25th man.

I would like to see Fowler coming off the bench… I would prefer to see him gone to open up room for Arozarena, Thomas, Garcia, O’Neill. IMO these guys can all do as well or better than Fowler who is ML average or worse. I know money plays into this, but if you make a mistake and pay someone, you need to move on. Give the young guys a chance… see who can really play.

Arozarena really deserves a chance and doesn’t need to be blocked by a guy we made a mistake with and have money wrapped up in…

I know it makes me seem like I am swayed by O Neill’s current hot streak, but I have long wondered why the Cardinals were not giving O Neill more of a chance… Look at his minor league stats. Very productive. He has speed too. Good Outfielder who can play center.

An organization hopes to produce a 30 HR guy and he is that. And he doesn’t have any weaknesses other than being a 250-260 hitter… but by this year’s Cardinals averages he would be above average. He can do damage! Heck he might be a 40 HR guy if he plays everyday. If all are healthy, he plays in front of Fowler for me for sure…

I saw the Cardinals would be willing to trade CMart and or Tyler ONeill…

What do they have against Tyler ONeill? Power Bat that can run, field… May never hit for a high average but he can hit 250 and get you 30 bombs if you play him everyday…

    Brian-

Do you see any of the unsigned players still signing? They have until July 15th?

    Thanks – Jim
