Thru 3 LCS games no Hone team has won a game. It may continue tonight and hopefully tomorrow

I know odds and history are stacked against us having lost the first 2 games at home and coming back to win the series but I don’t really care about that. I just know we are capable and until all outs are used for the 2019 season, we have a fighting chance. GO Cardinals.

Miko and Waino did their part. Our hitters need to get it going and make this a best of 3. But first things first… we have to win game 3

Need to keep it a 1 run game. Just have to tip your cap to Sanchez these First 5. We’ve only had 1 slim chance back in the 4th, but otherwise he’s looking good thru 5 but hopefully we can get to him. Go Cardinals!

Miko is pitching well. Needs to keep it close to give our offense a chance.

No base runners the first time through. Actually not surprised. Look for the Cardinals to be more aggressive 2nd time around.

The balls not traveling tonight so the Redbirds need to score runs by putting hits together and smart base running.

What I don’t know: who will come through with the big hit or big play. The best lineup to use, what pitcher to bring in.

What I do know: we are in the LCS for the first time since 2014. As long as we have an AB, we have life. Never count us out.

What I’m sure of? I am proud to be a Cardinals fan.

My only key to the First 2 games: if we don’t come to bat in the 9th, it will increase our chances of taking a 2-0 lead back to D.C. 🤩

I agree Pugs and gscottar, Edman would be my pick for Cardinals player of the year. He brought energy and character to the team.

Here’s a lineup I think would be effective but I don’t see Shildt going this route.

    Vs RHP. Vs Corbin
    Edman RF DeJong ss
    Molina C. Molina C
    Goldy 1B Goldy 1B
    Ozuna LF. Ozuna LF
    Fowler CF. Edman 3B
    Carp 3B. Fowler rf
    Wong 2B Wong 2B
    DeJong SS. Arozarena CF

I know many will disagree with having DeJong bat lead off against Corbin but I just feel that he can get some good AB and maybe it will help get his swing back if the Cards go forward.

I like your positive attitude Wooster. I don’t really pay attention to what anyone says. The so called experts were planning an LCS party that was crashed by the Nats and Cards.

That Ozuna play in left where he jumped on the wall, only for the ball to land 3 feet in front of him.

Flares base running blunders as a pinch runner late including getting picked off 2nd to end the game.

This is evenly matched series in my opinion. I don’t think one team has a clear advantage in any one category. Hopefully our offense can continue to display the offense they did in game 5 of the LDS. I’m not expecting 10 run innings, in fact I don’t expect any team to score more than 5 runs in any one game. Of course if Rat differs with that, then by all means don’t listen to me, and Always go with Rats.

I just hope the game tonight is a sellout.

I don’t think that will be an issue the first 2 games. Whatever the case was in game 4, Cardinals nation will be there in full force wearing red, being loud, and doing there part to help us achieve victory.

The rotation sets up nicely for us because if it does go the full 7, at least we’ll have Waino and Flare going.

Rats made reference to this before game 5 of the lds and I think it needs mention again. Regardless of what happens from here on out, for our Redbirds to get this far is truly amazing.

I will be watching the first 2 games via my phone as I am on vacation and there’s no cable service and internet is spotty but good enough to watch the games. I’ll be back home in time to watch game 3 on Monday night though. Go Cardinals!

Probably won’t watch the Nats- Dodgers game as I am choosing to spend the night with the wife watching a couple movies we got from the Box.
On the menu tonight is Linguini and clams with some French Baguette.

Who do we go with in the first 2 games? Waino and Miko or Miko and Waino? Also if Wacha is available for the NLCS, do you start him in game 4 or DH?

Honestly I don’t care who we face in the lcs. I feel we can beat either of those teams. I would lean towards facing the Nats only because we’d have game 7 at home but as the Cardinals have proven today, playing a winner take all in a deciding game on the road sometimes works out pretty good for the road team.
