Pitchers are missing the shoulder rub from Maddux.

Here’s an idea that may not be popular with Cardinals fans but just a thought.. what about resigning CMart. Not so much to be a starter or because I think he’s going to be dominant on the mound but more for the vocal clubhouse presence to light a fire under some of our young relievers in the bullpen and who knows, maybe CMart can recapture some of his glory days. After all , he’s only 31.

I’d like to see Gorman and Goldy switch places in the lineup.

Maybe see how Walker would do in the lead off role. When my team is 27-42, losers of 5 straight… I feel I can make these type of Managerial decisions, lol. Go Cardinals!

Martinez had a 7.15 era in the Mexican league before being released in May. No thanks

Yeah, he could really do that shoulder rub well on those mound visits…Here’s another good mound visit…Stengel once walked out to the mound to get Tug McGraw and McGraw said, “Let me work to this guy, Casey, I struck him out last time I faced him”…Stengel said, “Yeah I know, but that was this inning”…

Scratch what I said about CMart. I didn’t realize how much of a jerk he is.

Mikolos had a pretty good stretch of games in May, but so far in June he’s done nothing but stink. Two starts, two losses. Too much traffic. He’s capable of turning in a good one, but we can’t count on it. Whatever he does, the pen will follow and they will probably stink.

The lineup has followed the same basic structure for quite some time. It just keeps on losing and it keeps on getting rolled out. Not that swapping this guy and that would help, other than signalling that management recognizes failure when it sees it, and will respond in some way that hints at the existence of intelligent life somewhere in the organization.

Mikolas and the BP will be okay and the ingeniously creative line-ups aren’t at all a contributing factor to the Redbird woes…The only way to fix any of the countless shortcomings is to be patient…I also keep hearing something about getting punched in the face. All of that is really good stuff, but today I heard something tremendously profound…”At some point you’ve got to strap it on and go”…These guys are good.

Just keep on jamming contreras in the five hole. Like a million monkeys and a million typewriters, he’ll eventually come up with a complete sentence.

Contreras has had more PA’s out of the 3 slot this season than any other position in the batting order besides 5…What’s that tell you about monkeys and typewriters?

I agree. Why is a .200 hitter in the #5 slot???

And according to the Doppler the rain is out of the New York area. That doesn’t mean more might move in though.

I am going to go and job, water the landscaping, and then hit the shower. Me and Whitey Herdog will be on the couch for the 1st pitch tonight – assuming it’s not delayed.

There are $85M reasons why Contreras is batting where he is. They already jerked him around once this year with DHgate. Probably not going to do it again.

If Oakland can string together some wins, we can too. Need to get one first.

Well, the top of the first was pitiful. Lets see what Mikolas has.

Needed that…A 1-2-3 GIDP…ala Schmidt back to Sutter.

Get the rare GIDP and still surrender an ER. Can’t buy a thrill.

Mikolas throwing bp in the first. Not a good sign.

As of right now, his game ERA is 27.00 so it will probably get better rather than worse.

It seems the last couple games I’ve seen Contreras take a call third strike… That seem to be right down the middle. Is he that fooled?
