Sorry Fans, Turning point in season was Miller in 9th giving up homerun in Arizona! STL has not looked the same since!
September 28, 2019 at 9:32 pm #109154I predicted a De Jong homer but it came 2 innings later
September 28, 2019 at 9:33 pm #109155Cards continuing to compete. Only two runs down
September 28, 2019 at 9:33 pm #109156a Jmart blast would be nice here
September 28, 2019 at 9:34 pm #1091572-1 crew
September 28, 2019 at 9:37 pm #109158Striking out looking when you are down is so gutless.
September 28, 2019 at 9:38 pm #109159I keep watching opponents get 10 pitches before they single or hit a home run. Then, we get ten pitches and strike out.
We had the division won. Losing four in a row reminds me of the Phillies in 64 when we won about ten in a row to win it after they lost about eight in a row with about a six game lead.
It is frustrating that Miller has had a part in three of the four losses (assuming we don’t come back), a major role. We keep throwing them in there based on what they did five years ago.
DeJong HR and a Bader walk. It just seems we can’t get the Goldy, Ozuna, Carp group to do anything at the right time. Fowler and JeJong have been a part of it. Those who have ability need to play like it. It isn’t like we have faced world class pitching in these four games.
I did want J Martinez to stay. But, he hasn’t exactly been stellar in this stretch. Fowler ends that shot.
September 28, 2019 at 9:39 pm #109160And that would be 14 strike outs
September 28, 2019 at 9:40 pm #109161We no longer decide our own destiny barring a miracle. If we didn’t pitch Andrew Miller. It’s a tie game
September 28, 2019 at 9:40 pm #109162Who’s SCHILDT gonna bring in this inning? Fernandez?
September 28, 2019 at 9:41 pm #109163Babe Happ leading off for the Cubs. Seat belts on!
September 28, 2019 at 9:43 pm #109164I mean looks at those batting averages down the box score. We shouldn’t win a division! Get rid of these guys. Don’t resign ozuna, get fowler out of here and Bader is not an MLB player. Let’s move on. But we cant
September 28, 2019 at 9:45 pm #109165Headed to the bottom of the 9th in Denver
September 28, 2019 at 9:46 pm #109166JMart struck out looking on a center-cut fastball with Bader on 2B. Still trail by 2 going to the 9th.
September 28, 2019 at 9:46 pm #109167This is what this team has done all year. Look like world beaters for a week and than like Baltimore the next. Unfortunately, when we need a couple wins here at the end, the Baltimore reared its head.
September 28, 2019 at 9:48 pm #109168😳
September 28, 2019 at 9:53 pm #109169Heading to the Botom of the 9TH… Ednan-Goldy-Ozuna due up. For the love of Cardinal fans, and history please do something and win this game.
September 28, 2019 at 9:53 pm #109170Crew 1 out a way
September 28, 2019 at 9:54 pm #109171Rox tie it!
September 28, 2019 at 9:55 pm #109172HBP, followed with 2 K’s, is that what you meant Dave?
September 28, 2019 at 9:56 pm #109174They didn’t score!! Hilliard homered to tie the Brewers with two outs in the ninth.
September 28, 2019 at 9:56 pm #109175Wow tie game in Denver
September 28, 2019 at 9:58 pm #109176Yeah, just when you think Shlidt is an above average manager, he reverts to quite ordinay. He leaves Waino in there until he gives up 12 safe hits in 4.1 innings, then brings in Miller, again.
September 28, 2019 at 10:02 pm #109177Never had a good feeling when they moved Waino up a day. down to our last out.
September 28, 2019 at 10:02 pm #109178Sad
