Hopefully Rockies can pull it out. If they do, then who do you go with tomorrow? I say Miko either way. We seem to get him more run support. Honestly I wouldnt start Flaherty to either the wildcard game or Game 1 of the nlds.
If SCHILDT does go with Flaherty tomorrow, he has to stick with him and if we win, at worst he pitches Game 2 of the nlds but then if he pitches and the cardinals lose then you risk losing him for game 163 or the wildcard.
WOW, thank you Rockies!!! I agree with going with Miles tomorrow. They need to save JF for the first must win game or game 1 at Atlanta. Maddon is meeting with Theo “after the game tonight”, after they tell him he’s not getting resigned, they will be in turmoil.
You could make a case for using both Micolas and Flaherty tomorrow. If we get 5 good innings out of Micolas, and we are leading by a two runs or less, why not bring in flaherty at the first sign of trouble? We win tomorrow and we get a bit of a rest.
IF you do it like that lou, I would only bring JF in the 9th and only if it was a save situation. That way, he’d still be available to start game 1.
well I had recorded this game, went out for some fried chicken at cracker barrel. watched it and eventually caught up. we finally get some offense but waino just didn’t have it. wasn’t bad at start but you could tell he wasn’t really on. then he just fell off a cliff. of course then we have miller time. I said when we signed him that it was a big mistake. he one of those guys the management likes. instead of spending real money on a real stud relief pitcher, they spend mid money on a guy hoping to catch that genie in a bottle and make them look smart but they aren’t looking smart now. goldy hurt us big time time tonight. that double play just took then starch out of the inning. carpenter was a no show, as well as fowler. I saw a stat that fowler only has 4 hits in his last 12 or 13 games against the cubs. if wong is good to go, id start him tomorrow, edman at third. carp should be out. that ball that he went around on wasn’t even close. we had strope for the taking but didn’t get it done. bader was a bit better tonight. it was a nice homer but hes like a lot of the others. he can hit one maybe two but then go 0 for 12. edman is the only consistent guy we have right now. if our pitching is stellar we can win some games but our pitching has really tanked here lately. im blaming it on bringing miller in that 1-0 game. I prayed it wouldn’t happen but I knew it was gonnan happen.
