There is one player that needs a day off as he looks worn down (Dejong), one that looks lost (Bader) and one that needs to change approach (Ozuna). Why doesn’t Shildt make an adjustment to the line up?

1964, it is because Shildt is going to stick with his guys. It is not new. That is the way he manages.

Looks like we will need to depend on the Rockies to help us again tonight. The Cards simply cannot give up so many automatic outs at the end of the lineup and expect to compete.

Oh, and we are going to waste Flaherty, our only chance to win a playoff series, in a game 162.

Even if we have to use Flaherty tomorrow or Monday, it will be the likely scenario… he will pitch a great game with no run support and Schildt will pull him and now we rely om our bullpen and for someone to come up with a big hit. lol

Ozuna caught that because he only had to move a couple steps, other wise its a double.

I think we can live without Fowler and Ozuna at 236 and 243. Pop flies become adventures with Ozuna. Not worth $12 million in the market.

We can also live without Miller. We might have clinched this thing if Miller hadn’t pitched the ninth of that 19-inning game.

this will probably be Wainos last inning. Will it be his last regular season game as a cardinal?

Looks like Molina is the only one who can get on base. Carp might as well bunt behind him since he whiffs every time. Sad thing is the Cubs look better at hitting in our park than we do.Our biggest excitement so far has been Molina getting hit by a pitch.

This one is over if the Cardinals continue to score one or two runs per night. It does not help that “Fire Starter” Leone is potentially the next pitcher.

Waino looks bad as he has all year tonight. The offense has been putrid and the Cards might be playing their worst baseball of the year at the worst time. It’s like they’ve all packed it in for the year already and forgot that they actually have to win a game to help their cause.
