Per Casey Lawrence’s MLB players page:

February 7, 2024 – Seattle Mariners signed free agent RHP Casey Lawrence to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.

Casino Jon can’t stay out of his own way. First it was Arson Judge and now the wrong Garcia…

Assuming that he is referring to Adolis Garcia that is a pretty good return on investment for the Rangers.

    Now apparently a done deal.

It seems like the big stars want to go straight to the top. No lesser coaching job on a ML staff, no managing an affiliated MiLB team, or any team in the USA that is not ML. I guess they want to get up to speed in some far away place out of the public eye, for some reason.

Indeed he did bling. I remember him as a pitcher with great stuff but didn’t always get the wins to show for it. RIP.

Wong to Orioles on minor league deal. It seems surprising he couldn’t land a MLB contract of some kind.

The Wong news prompted me to check up on his college teammate and former Cardinal Greg Garcia. It looks like Garcia played in 2020 and then dropped out after failing to catch on with a couple teams during 2021 ST. I didn’t see anything relating to Indy ball nor about retirement, so I don’t know his status.

I heard Garcia say he is retired and doing insurance now.

Where is our boy Tommy Pham signing? Rumors are floated that a Padres reunion are real. Better go to Cheetahs instead of Pacers if he goes back. Lmao!

Tommy is the only player who ever blocked me on Twitter. I guess I will never know why…

Perfect Cardinals fan social media overreaction. Palacios hit this one ball really hard. That’s good. For the spring, he is batting .227 with a 24% K rate. He has more Ks than hits. Two of his five hits are home runs.

Kittredge has four shutout innings. Just one hit, one walk and three strikeouts.

Considering what Mo is paying for Lynn and Gibson, a @13M AAV for two years of Q would have been in his wheelhouse. Except he was sold on the laundry list which blew up in his face.
