I was really hoping I had seen the last of Leone. I’ve developed a near irrational dislike for him and his unique ability to blow leads or turn close games into unwinnable messes.

I feel like a grade A moron. I just reread the Leone tweet. The RANGERS signed him. I’m glad to see him gone but wish him the best. D’oh!

A lefty giving grip pointers to a righty. That should help.

It’s just like looking in the mirror.

Eno Sarris of The Athletic names Lars Nootbaar and Conner Capel as two of his 10 breakout bats for 2023.

Two former Cardinals signing minor league deals:

February 17, 2023 Chicago White Sox signed free agent LHP Ricardo Sánchez to a minor league contract.

02/28/23 LHP Domingo Robles assigned to Mississippi Braves.

I haven’t read all the Q stories, how did he break a rib? I assume that is still the diagnosis.

I read it was a stress fracture, Bling. Probably just wound up and let loose a pitch and the rib went with the baseball. Mrs. 1TD fell victim to one of those in her leg while carrying a load of laundry up the basement steps. I had to do all the cooking and grocery shopping for a long time. She claimed my cooking was as painful as her leg…

Yeah, pitchers with a contract get hurt just standing around.

Tough for Bader. Those obliques can take while to heal. And he just recently had another slow healing ailment in the plantar fasciatis (not sure on the spelling).

bikemike, it seems like a recurring theme with a lot of guys. I wonder if those players focus enough on flexibility in their fitness training?

And bling’s not joking, baseball has a lot of standing around doing nothing, and then boom, in an instant a player needs to sprint, twist, dive, swing, throw, etc., at maximum force/torque/whatever. That’s a great combo for injury. Or do like John Daly and become rotund to avoid injury. I think he’s the one who said you can’t pull fat.

Is Luke Voit with the Brewers now? I missed it if he is.

Just noticed that Freddy Pacheco is on Detroit’s 60-day IL.

And, BTW, he’s also listed as still being on Memphis’ roster.

I read Piscotty did pretty well this Spring. Wonder if he’s working on a better fit elsewhere.
