Yankees freeing up some salary room to stay under the salary cap, while getting little in return. Now that is a salary dump.
And yes it is strange for arch rivals to do a trade.
January 25, 2021 at 5:47 pm #152440When you have to add a prospect to the traded player and his salary, you really want salary relief.
January 25, 2021 at 6:38 pm #152441So far in his career, Adam Ottovino has managed to bank $61,731.69 for every inning pitched.

January 28, 2021 at 3:21 pm #152604Everyone can benefit from @Drewrobbb’s story. He’s an inspiration. Mental health issues are no different than a physical injury. His courage in speaking out is undeniable, and we can support anyone we know who may be dealing with something similar. Proud to be his teammate.

February 6, 2021 at 1:14 pm #153636Rather have a guy that can play shortstop as well as second.

Shreve, 30, has a strong fastball/splitter combo. Had the highest whiff rate for any LHR with 25+ IP in 2020.

February 18, 2021 at 10:16 am #154544Rosie has done just enough to get a few nice paydays that usually lead to disaster, then a comeback on the cheap that looks dominant. Then repeat. Hopefully he does well in Oakland.
February 19, 2021 at 6:38 am #154591Get well soon Curt Simmons. LHP with #Phillies (1947-60), #Cardinals (1960-66), #Cubs (1966-67) & #Angels (1967). Family is sending a note to those who write to him advising he is unable to respond.
