I feel bad for the Milwaukee faithful. It’s been a long time for the Brewers and their fans. They still have a couple of games in the bank but it’s going to take some genuine baseball magic for them to overcome a 2-0 games deficit against this Dodger team out in LA.
Yamamoto with a CG post-season W for the Dodgers. It almost seems like it’s been 50 years since that’s happened.
Dodgers are now getting dominant pitching to compliment an extremely formidable lineup. If the current trend continues, they may run the table all the way through the WS. In any case, they’re without question the best team I’ve seen since the Yankees of the late 90’s.
I’m going to afford a slight edge in tonight’s Beiber/Kirby pitching matchup to the Mariners simply because Kirby’s post-season work is clearly the better of the two RH SP’ers. The overriding factor in game 3 will undoubtedly be the Mariners enjoying HFA and the immense pressure placed on the Blue Jays after falling behind 2-0 in this ALCS and having to survive 3 games in Seattle. And after now seeing them play in 7 post-season games and 3 regular season games in which they swept the Cardinals, Seattle really impresses me as a baseball team that excels at the all the little things that serve to hang W’s up on the board. So, my baseball gypsy fortune telling deck of tarot cards say that the Seattle catcher has a monster game at the plate and the Mariners go up 3-0 in this ALCS. At the current rate, both of these ’25 LCS have a decent chance of being decided in 4 or 5 games.
I respect your assessments and predictions on these playoffs games, as you’ve proved to be pretty darn accurate, TD. I on the other hand, have taken a turn for the worse of late.
Last night’s game was fairly boring…..especially with Front Row Amy not in attendance, Rat. It was so uninspiring that I didn’t even hit the bar scene after the game. I merely went on home and watched 3 episodes of “The Kominsky Method”, before hitting the sack. Milwaukee can turn it around though. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them take 2-3 in LA and then heading on home to take the final 2.
No question about it, Pugs. All 4 of these participants are first rate teams and are entirely capable of reeling off several W’s in a row whether they’re playing at home or on the road. This is baseball and anything can happen, which is the primary reason it remains the best game ever invented. Ain’t nothing near over.

I looked down there a couple of times and didn’t see her, Rat……which kind of makes me feel old, as I never used to miss seeing the pretty ladies. Don’t worry Rat, I’ll get you a lunch date with her yet, but I’m not sure how she’ll take to gulping down a heaping plate of Fiddlers? Just a few minutes before our first pitch. I really like Toronto in this game and thus have plopped down a wad of pesos big enough to choke a mule on them. Go Jays!
The Mariners jumps out to a 1st inning 2-0 lead to amp up the home crowd and the Blue Jays do exactly what they need to do to survive by answering back with 5 runs in the 3rd inning. Now it’s up to Bieber to keep the Mariners and the Seattle fans in check by working some scoreless innings.
The Blue Jays showing why they won the best division in the AL as they take command of this baseball game and pull away to a comfortable 8-2 lead in the 5th inning. They don’t at all look like they have any intention of going quietly in this ALCS.
The Blue Jays now have 31 TB’s on 16 hits to go along with a 12-3 lead in the 8th inning at Seattle. Something made them angry…
Scherzer takes a post-season turn tonight for the Blue Jays. It’ll be his 26th post-season start. Castillo gets the baseball for the Mariners.
Misiorowski works 5 innings and manages to keep the Brewers close enough to have a chance but they’re running short on outs.
Misiorowski did a great job. But it doesn’t matter if the Brewers forgot their bats. They have got to start scoring some runs but this series is likely over and we will see the Dodgers trying for a repeat.
Dodgers hang a 3-1 W up on the board as they go up 3-0 over the Brewers in the NLCS. It’s looking like a mismatch.
These Blue Jays look like they intend to make life difficult for the fans in Seattle who thought they may have landed on easy street after the Mariners had jumped out to a 2-0 games lead in this ALCS. Toronto made a statement with a 13-4 W in game 3 and leads Seattle by a 3-1 margin headed to the home half of the 3rd in tonight’s game.
Max now working thru 5 full allowing just 1 ER on 74 pitches and some high octane adrenaline. The 41 year old Max doesn’t normally get too amped up…
Scherzer leaves the game with his team leading 5-1 after 5.2 innings of work allowing 1 ER on 87 pitches. If I’m a Mariner fan, I’m elated that he’s no longer situated on the mound. Outstanding work by the great 41 year old RHP’er in game 4 of this ALCS.
Toronto now with an 8-2 lead in the 9th and a firm grip on momentum as they’ve now taken back the initiative in this NLCS. If this one stays where it’s at, I’d say the Blue Jays clearly have the upper hand as they’re guaranteed to return home to Great White North. All the pressure flips over onto the shoulder of the Mariners as they now desperately need a W in game 5.
