Raleigh with a lead-off HR to start the 5th and extend the Mariner lead to 3-1. I have a feeling it’s going to take 6 or 7 runs to hang a W up on the board in this game 7.
Getting slightly worried here as we head to the top of the 7th in a 3-1 Seattle ballgame. My simulated game had this one tied 4-4 after 6 complete, with the Jays winning 5-4.
This game 7 enters the 7th with the outcome still very much in doubt as we move to the late innings.
I really don’t understand the IBB to Raleigh with 2 outs and the bases empty. I’m entirely aware that he ripped 60 regular season HR’s, but he ain’t Bonds…
Whoa…There it is! A 3 run TATER from Springer gives Toronto a 4-3 7th inning lead. You almost saw that coming.
Bassitt makes quick and easy work of the Mariners in the visitor half of the 8th as Seattle now only has 3 outs left in the bank. Boy, Springer really came thru with what was undoubtedly the biggest Blue Jay blast since Joe Carter ended the ’93 WS with a 3 run tater off of the “Wild Thing.”
Blue Jays win the AL pennant with a 4-3 final in game 7 of the ALCS as they advance to the ’25 WS to face the Dodgers. Well, I got the easy one right…Haha!
