Sure is quiet in here. I know it’s not the WS, but it’s the local fellas playing for bragging rights…Haha!
This WBC is the most I’ve seen of Trout. He sure does have a nice rip that uncoils in a big hurry. It’s a shame we haven’t seen more of him in post-season play during his career. Seems like he’s been around forever and he’s only 31.
Well, that does it. Nado squeezes the baseball for the last out as the USA advances with a 9-7 W. These games are entertaining and fun to watch, but I have to acknowledge that I get a bit nervous with both of the Redbirds best players on the field for the USA team. I’m not sure you can say that any other two USA players of their calibre and importance to their same Big League team are members of this squad. At any rate, nice W for the good guys.
1td doing his lone ranger impersonation tonight. I thought the game started later than it did or I might’ve dropped by. Wife and I are out of state visiting son/girl friend. We were out to dinner tonight when I saw USA was already up 5-2. Not sure how I blew the schedule. We got back to hotel in time to see Turner’s heroics. I loved Realmutto’s peering at Quijada after the HBP. Seemed like there was something going on there more than a HBP. Maybe Quijada rubbed USA the wrong way with his gestures after the 7th.
I saw where Wainwright will start in the semifinal game against Cuba Sunday night. Winner plays Tuesday in the championship game.
Yeah, the Philly catcher was about ready to do anything other than eat it and smile. Also yeah, I felt like the last man standing rooting against an enemy that was at least brigade strength. I figured if I kept calling a little action, I’d get some reinforcements…Haha! At any rate, good game and good W for the good ol’ USA!
Wainwright gets the baseball, eh? That ought to be interesting, Euro. We both know the old guy will battle. Hope he turns in some nice work. I’m sure he’ll be amped up.
I’m beginning to think that this guy is my favorite player who doesn’t wear the birds on the bat. Betts is a baseball player.
